I’m a pianist/keyboardist and vocalist, with a repertoire that draws heavily from piano-based singer/songwriters of the past 50 years. Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles and many more. In addition, I play piano versions of favorites from other artists such as Elvis Costello, Prince and The Beatles.
With my tribute band Really Joel, I provide an experience for the true Billy Joel fan that brings the amazing catalog of Billy's music to life with all the romance, drama and energy that it deserves.
And with my dance band The Aftershoxx, I provide a high-energy show with all the current top hits that will keep your guests on the dance floor late into the night.

I know that my role is to support and enhance the experience the client is trying to create for their audience. I do everything in my power to help the client execute their vision and make their job easier. If I need to provide light background music to allow guests to converse, I can do that. If I need to MC the event and/or make announcements, I can do that. If I and my band need to make people dance, we can do that. Whatever it takes to make the experience memorable and enjoyable for all parties concerned, both onstage and behind the scenes.
Lastly, I'm a professional. That means I show up on time, in the right attire, with the right gear, the right repertoire, and the right attitude.
I’m a second generation professional musician .. my father worked in Vegas for decades, playing in pit orchestras (he played for Elvis) and lounges. He’s gone now, but I carry his memory and his legacy with me.
I first started playing piano at age 9, when I received the gift of a piano from a relative. A few years later I started playing drums in school band.
I spent my late teens and early 20s playing in bands, and then in 1994 I took the leap and quit my day job to attend Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. I graduated with Honors, and returned to the Bay Area to begin my professional career.
Since then I've played more than a thousand gigs, for all types of audiences. I've done intimate solo performances and played large clubs packed with hundreds of smiling, dancing folks. Once I even got to sing the Star Spangled Banner at a Giants game in PacBell Park (back when it was still PacBell Park)!
I truly love sharing the gift of music with audiences, and I especially love performing at weddings. The fact that I have been a part of so many couples' special day is a gift that I treasure. I hope to continue performing for the rest of my days.
As a soloist, my repertoire draws from piano-based singer/songwriters of the past 50 years. Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Joe Jackson, Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles and many more.
