Mia, also known as Rooted Flow started her hula hoop journey in October of 2014. Mia has performed for multiple music festivals across the states. A hobby which turned into a passion. That passion inspired her to start performing which 10 years later, she mainly teaches flow arts, performs locally and has a 4 year old daughter. She teaches performance techniques, music technicality, and hoop twerk. Mia is the founder & director of Funky Flowdah Flow Festival, the ringleader of the Fort Walton Beach Flow Jam, sponsored by Hoop Junky and is the workshop coordinator for Flame Fest.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Mia on a few different events. Everything from large scale music festivals to smaller street gigs. She has great audience engagement, stage presence, and is a highly creative performer. Mia will surely add a wonderful Pizzazz to your event. 🎪

Her style of performance is a combination of flowly and techy.
Mia has performed for multiple music festivals across the states. Now fast forwarded 10 years later, she teaches flow arts and still very much so loves to perform when she can. Mia is the mother of a 5 year old daughter who loves hula hoops, too!
Currently, Mia teaches a variety of hula hoop performance technique workshops. Some popular classes include, hoop twershop, acro hoop, hoop juggling and multi hoop technicality.

If the event is on sand, please have a designated area (flat surface) I can spin on. I personally don’t feel as comfortable if I feel my balance is shaky.
