DJ Gwiro's Electropical party is the meeting point of ancestral rhythmic roots with danceable electronic languages. Gwiro, a DJ, producer and sound researcher, is in the house mixing a musical repertoire that navigates through electronic and percussive fusions from the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and around the world. Traditional rhythms, beats with drums, and chants from regional cultures will be heard; genres like house music, latinhouse, afrohouse, afrolatinhouse, salsa, merengue, electrocumbia, dancehall, reggaeton, among many other terms that seek to name the danceable musical evolution when traditional sounds merge with electronic rhythms.
