Darksail pirates do great at working a crowd. Set us loose at your event to set the mood as we move amongst the crowd offering jokes for the adults and trinkets and treasure for the kids. Our improv is where we shine. But once your crowd is warmed up, put us on stage to roast your guest of honor, or have us do an explosive sword fighting show with lots of action. Founded in 1998, The Royal French Privateers of Clan Darksail™ have appeared in numerous television and movie roles, as well as appearing at Renaissance and Pirate faires all over the Southwestern United States. We are now available to hire for your next event, party, stage or tv show; YouTube or Vine video or festival! We offer educational content for schools, kid-friendly entertainment for young buccaneers, and even bawdy entertainers for your bachelor/ette or retirement and office parties.
We are a group of improv actors, but we also have scripted shows including swordfighting, black powder demonstrations (cannon, pistol and gun fire), sea chanty singing and more. Always professional, our historically accurate costumed characters can also bring a plethora of nautical themed props, from cargo boxes, barrels and netting, to a full voodoo-themed bar! Real or prop cannons, skeletons in cages, swords and so much more can be included in your package price. And we are always willing to offer steep discounts to non-profit and educational organizations. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.

Our equipment is 100% modular, and easy to work around in nearly any space. If you require our tent setups, we need to be on grass or soft-ish ground to be able to stake them down. Otherwise, we have some covered EZ ups for work on asphalt or indoors.
Our stage shows do not require lights or sound, unless it is a VERY large venue or it's especially dark. We perform often at Renaissance Faires, so we can project quite loudly.
If we are bringing props/tents/cannons to your event we do require a loading zone and/or up front parking as much of our equipment is quite heavy. Set-up time can usually be done in less than 1 hour before an event.
