We hired Rufus for a two day event at a large Convention in Salt Lake. He is very talented and everyone really enjoyed their drawings, he set up a monitor so other people could watch him draw; he is very talented! He was even drawing people who didn't know as they were sitting or standing around talking and then gave them their drawing and supposed them, thank you Rufus!
Our employee party was such a hit with these services. Everyone loved their drawings and it was a highlight for so many people.
The caricatures that Rufus did were the highlight of our party. Everyone loved them. He arrived on time and was so kind. I will definitely be requesting him for future events!!

Having Rufus do caricatures of our guests was so much fun!! He, truly, made the event such a success. He is so talented and creates such fun caricatures in just a matter of minutes. We had Rufusman Art and Events for a carnival themed Halloween party. He came a little earlier than originally scheduled at our request to help accommodate our evening which was greatly appreciated! He was quick, friendly, and gave everyone what they were looking for in a picture. He also made sure every guest got a turn before he left. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Rufus was on time, professional, and worked like a machine. I watched him draw for 16 hours, and kept expecting that it would get "ordinary" after awhile. It didn't. I continued to be amazed with every single portrait he created - and the originality never stopped. I would hire him 10 times over, and he's worth 10 times what he charges.

He didn't show up for the event, never answered any messages - zero correspondence after accepting money. I had hoped that he would at least keep the deal and show up as I had provided all necessary information. Later when event was over, messaged that he mixed up dates! Too late ..

Regretfully, I did misread the date requested for the event, and so I must offer my sincerest apologies for the error. The client’s trust is paramount to this business, and unfortunately that was not achieved this particular time. This review stings but I must own up to the mistake and be better for it. I will do all I can to make this right for the client and ensure this never happens again.

Rufusman will provide caricature entertainment to fit the needs of the event, Rufus’ goal is to “have fun” with each face rather than “make fun,” creating a momento to cherish long after the event. The booking fee includes all necessary materials, including high quality 11 x 14 paper. Up to 20 black and whites and 10 color drawings per hour. Keeping it cordial, Rufus encourages the guests to be themselves rather than merely hold a pose, this proves the best way to capture each unique personality.
Rufus (a.k.a. Rufusman) has entertained audiences for over a decade with his artistic superpowers. From conventions and public events to private parties, Rufus aims to create an awesome experience for all involved, immortalizing his subjects into caricature masterpieces! One of the best things about caricature art is the people Rufus gets to meet as he draws them, capturing something unique to each subject’s personality. Rufus loves to draw with a theme/style in mind, and would happily cater to the needs of your event. Rufus also draws private commissions, in traditional and digital mediums, an unforgettable gift for any occasion!
Three chairs (one for the artist, two for the clients) minimum, a table is preferred but not required. Adequate lighting and protection from the elements ensures the best possible caricature experience. For any specific needs that exceed these basic requirements, please contact the artist.
