Runaway Fire is a family friendly original rock'n'roll/alternative/indie band out of Southern Utah that plays a wide variety of catchy, upbeat songs. We were visiting my older sister at SUU and she wanted to take us to see a band. although there weren't many people I still had to best time ever and before we saw the band live I hadn't ever heard their music but after a few songs I knew that I loved runaway fire it was amazing and the songs were so good and the bass player was awesome

One does not associate hot new bands with Utah, until you get the chance to hear Runawayfire! They are not another cover band, all their show is original music and the talent is unbelievable. You will want to follow them to their next gig, I promise. I wish they were local to Nashville so I could catch more shows! The show at Zion Canyon Brew Pub was fantastic.

These guys are just starting out, but they've already established a sound and stage presence that makes it seem like they've been around for years. If you are into alternative/modern rock I highly recommend checking them out and going to one of their live shows. They have some great songs and their lead singer kills it every time.

A well practiced and creative band. The bass lines where very soothing and then explosive. The drums where played with precision and skill; bringing a finess with super human speed. The keyboardess was beautiful and has a smile that lights up the room. Her sound brought a very futuristic and imagitive feel. The guitarist played and provided amazing vocals. His lyrics where fun and catchy. Can't wait to see them again!

I ran into this band performing at a really cool festival at Zion National Park-thought they were a recording when I first heard them, then saw them on stage! Reminded me of a spicy version of U2 mixed with The Beatles, but they write their own songs! They’ve got such cool keyboard sounds intertwined creatively into each song, it’s really stuff I haven’t heard before, that plus stage presence, obviously they are “musicians” and not just people that started a band. As a performer myself, it actually takes quite a bit to impress me. This colorful band caught me by surprise.

Last year Runaway Fire performed at the Southern Utah Museum of Art Plaza for our Final Friday Art Walk. The Cedar City Arts Council is excited to welcome back Runaway Fire this summer for the Final Friday Art Walk. The world’s new original rock and roll band, Runaway Fire, is creating waves in the unisphere with vocal melodies and stylish guitar tones soaring through tube amps so beautiful they may just send a rip tide of audio large enough to shift the weather into a random rainstorm in the desert. Their original songs are melodic, magical, rhythmic, percussive, catchy, beautiful, powerful, and easy to sing along with. Drummer Ian Shaw holds Runaway Fire together with his dedication to music and rhythm. The Keys are played by Marci Allen, who brings some amazing and much needed beauty to the rock and roll sound. The guitarist and vocalist, Mike Wilson, has written a wide variety of music for all listeners to enjoy. Chancelor Taylor has bass grooves that will get you dancing and moving. The Universe smiles on this band and is fulfilling their dreams to perform music together!
Runaway Fire can supply our own sound equipment, but would prefer if a PA system is provided (especially for shows not in the Southwest USA).
Our stage requirements are minimal, just enough space for a 4-piece band.
