I hired Ryan to play a block party in celebration of Halloween and my Birthday. Everyone was SO impressed by his talent. He has such a beautiful voice and is extremely professional! I didn't have to lift a finger to help him get set up. He arrived early to ensure his set up was perfect, and he performed for 3 hours with only one 10-min break! The volume of his playing was perfect and the songs he played / sang were perfect for the whole crowd! Thank you Ryan for making my party so incredibly special. I hired Ryan for a corporate summer party on the Avanti patio. Having a live musician really created a nice atmosphere. He was prompt, professional and sounded great. His performance was appreciated by everyone, which is pretty impressive for a group of 70 people! You can tell he has really honed his craft. He was easy to work with, has an extensive cover song list and was very responsive throughout the planning process. I would definitely recommend him for your next event.

WOW!!! Our Company had a Customer Appreciation Dinner Event at Guard and Grace with 30 guest. Ryan absolutely nailed it. When hiring Entertainment for an event for a broad group of people from all over the US and age groups you worry....not at all with Ryan. Ryan was prompt at the dinner event with set up, he was professional dressed for the occasion and venue. The volume was perfect! I am in the music industry in Tennessee right between Memphis and Nashville and Ryan is not just a guitar playing singer. He is an ARTIST!. He made the songs from our choice his own and unique and in many cases made the covers better! Ryan is a must if you are having any type of event....corporate, wedding, party, etc Ryan played for 3 hours with 1 brief break and was as fresh and exciting from start to finish....Amazing artist and person!!

Ryan really went out of his way to give a unique memorable experience for my wife and I as I had planned a surprise for my wife. Having Ryan singing the song we first danced to at our wedding. As you may imagine this took a bit of planning and Ryan was with me every step of the way. Ryan played for both my ceremony and the cocktail hour, and everything was just as I imagined. He was kind enough to learn 2 mumford and son songs including one that I walked down the aisle to and it is was great. His extensive list of cover songs made it super easy to find songs that we loved and he handled everything professionally. My family friend wrote us a song and Ryan generously allowed him to use some of his equipment. Can't say enough great things!

Ryan did an amazing job at our wedding & reception. Can't say enough about his sound and professionalism. He's not just a wedding singer, he's a legit musician that also happens to play beautiful music at weddings. We had songs we wanted to dance to for father/bride and mother/groom dances and when we shared them with him, he learned both songs and performed them live instead of us playing recorded versions. I don't think he'll be playing weddings much longer--based on how good his original music is, I think he's going to catch a break pretty soon. Ryan did a wonderful job at our son's rehearsal dinner! He was so easy to work with over the several months before the event. He was kind and appreciative. He was on time and wanted us to be happy with the play list. Ryan has a wonderful voice and was a big hit with our guests!

Ryan played acoustic guitar for our wedding ceremony in Westminster, CO! From the very first contact Ryan was professional, a great communicator, easy to work with and really showed he valued what we wanted for our special day! He was willing to learn a new song for our ceremony which we were so grateful for! He has a HUGE list of songs to choose from which can be used for multiple events! He sang vocals songs for the pre ceremony and played acoustic for the ceremony. We received so many compliments from our guests on how much they loved the ceremony music! Ryan Hutchens was absolutely wonderful to work with. First of all, he is a fantastic singer/songwriter and I am still feeling so lucky to have had Ryan play at our wedding. Ryan played music for the Processional and Recessional, an hour long for our cocktail hour following the ceremony, and then played our first dance song. Ryan has a wonderful way of taking songs and making them his own, in addition to writing his own originals which are lovely. Not only did Ryan play our first dance song, but he learned it in 1 night! He learned numerous other songs that we requested he play, including songs by the incredible Hozier, and they all sounded perfect and unique to him. I couldn't recommend Ryan Hutchens more, as we had a flawless experience working with him. Can't wait to see him perform live again when he goes on tour! 5 Star, A+, everything you could ask for and more.

I found Ryan after looking for a musician to learn and play some songs during my surprise proposal in Aspen. After a few planning sessions and phone conversations with Ryan, I found him to be a consummate professional: responsive, friendly, collaborative, and incredibly talented. He shared his extensive discography with me from which I could choose songs for him to play throughout the event (both during photos and during dinner). He learned several songs (including two beautiful renditions of a song that I asked him to learn for a crucial part of the proposal) within 3 or 4 short weeks. Ryan absolutely stole the show and I had several of my family and friends come by to ask where I found Ryan and say how great his voice and his music sounded. He played for over 7 hours and I wish he could've played all evening. He completed the night and made the proposal even more memorable. I cannot recommend Ryan any more -- he is the absolute best!

Ryan was an absolute dream pick for our outdoor winter elopement. He was friendly, professional, and helpful from the moment we booked him, and helped us work out all the music we wanted for our special day. We even ended up using his original music for our first dance ("The Last Ten Years" -- do yourself a favor a check it out). Ryan is beyond talented and was all we could've asked for in a wedding guitarist. If you're considering him at all, book him before he gets snatched up, you'll thank me later.

We hired Ryan to play at our wedding, and despite having to replan our wedding multiple times due to COVID, Ryan was so communicative, planned, and accommodating the entire time! He played our song while I walked down the "aisle" in the Winter Park mountains, and it couldn't have been more perfect. We had so many of our guests ask us about his music and who he was because it was simply outstanding and created the perfect environment for our wedding and reception. Ryan played and sang at a recent elopement in Breckenridge, CO that we (Wildly Collective) planned! He was pure magic. He communicated well with us beforehand and performed beautifully for the couples ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner. He learned 2 of the couple's special songs and played them during the processional and first dance! They couple was brought to tears. He has a magical voice and is so chill to work with. We really enjoyed working with Ryan for our nonprofit's virtual event. He met with us ahead of time and discussed our goals for the event and logistics. He is quite a professional, and helped us think through all of the questions we didn't even know we had! He was flexible as we adjusted things last minute. There was a wedding mishap with the start time of our ceremony, and he played 30+ minutes extra to entertain our guests that were watching via livestream while we waited. This is the first time I've used Gig Salad to hire someone to play at my Christmas Party. Each year I change my party theme and this year was Country/Western so I checked out various Country Singers. After reviewing various artists I settled on Ryan Hutchens and I and my partygoer's couldn't have been more pleased. Ryan was easy to work with and we were in good contact from the start. As a solo artist, packing his smooth voice, guitar, harmonica, and sound system (that took up a small footprint), he met and even exceeded my expectations. He responded to my special requests, was plenty early to set up, and his presentation was absolutely perfect for my party; everyone enjoyed him. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an artist such as Ryan.

For our outdoor ranch wedding, Ryan provided the perfect musical accompaniment to our ceremony. While people were arriving and being seated, Ryan sang melodic tunes with acoustic guitar and harmonica, including our special requests, which he has happy to accommodate. During walk-up, Ryan played instrumental guitar with a beautiful finger-picking style. He was professional and prompt throughout the booking process and the event, and he brought his own equipment, which worked out great. We even borrowed an extra mic from him when our officiant had issues with his. We would recommend Ryan for anyone looking for singer/songwriter, guitarist, folk singer, etc. for their own event.
