I am a singer/songwriter that plays guitar and piano, both original and cover music. The covers I play are an eclectic mix that ranges from classic rock/pop to current popular music. My original music is best described as a mix of rock/pop. My last album, "Victory March", was voted "2013 Album of the Year" by the nationally recognized blog, (link hidden) I am adaptable to every room I play, from upbeat bar settings, to more subdued dinner atmosphere settings, I've done it all.
We hosted a patio party for 10 people in the evening and he provided the right amount of classic rock, ballads and other various songs that made our party a success!! Ryan had a line up of music so we did not have to even think about the song choice, he read the crowd and played to the mood. We would recommend him or include him again.

Ryan was great from first contact to the event. Very responsive, communicated frequently and did a fantastic job entertaining our guests. We agreed to a mix of his original music and some cover songs, and everyone commented how much they loved it. I highly recommend Ryan.

If there's one thing you can expect, it is professionalism. I take the relationships with people I work with very seriously, and strive to bring my very best to each show I play. I am very easy to work with, adaptable, and understand the concept of good communication to make sure both sides are mutually satisfied. I love what I do and take pride in my work.
After spending 16 years in the Twin Ports area of Duluth/Superior, Ryan Van Slooten moved to the Twin Cities area in 2013 and has since greatly expanded his following around the region. After going solo in 2010, he has since released 3 full studio albums. His 2013 release, "Victory March", was voted Album of the Year by nationally recognized blog PerfectDuluthDay. Currently, Ryan is working on two EP's, set to be released in the spring and again in the fall of 2017.
I have my own sound equipment and can play almost any space. I own two different systems, one for larger or outdoor spaces, and a smaller system for more intimate environments. Should you already have sound equipment available for me, my rate will be negotiated accordingly.
