Séamus is an incredibly skilled musician. I book shows at a local community art space and his show stood out. His set included original music played with an impressive array of instruments including the guitar, mandolin, and banjo. His music transcends genres - in one instance he played an old Celtic tune and followed this with a contemporary song with beautiful lyrical picture. The crowd was a mixture of both young and old and everyone present seemed to be enjoying themselves laughing often throughout the evening. The show (titles 'Guitar Poems') was deeply moving and inspiring. Séamus has a lovely stage presence that radiates ease and mastery of his craft. I look forward to when I can catch another one of his shows and also highly recommend booking Séamus Maynard for your next show.

The performance was simply amazing. The music and song were world class. He is soft spoken, kind and went out of his way to make sure the performance was everything I seeking

On short notice, Séamus Maynard agreed to play at our house to an audience of six people, friends of ours, who came, curious about what a house concert might be like. For an hour and a fifteen minutes, composer and stellar musician shared his latest investigation into using electronic loops to produce a bigger sound than he could do solo. The concert was a real joy from start to finish. Séamus was honest, funny, and engaging.
The best part was the music. Séamus used several different guitars, mandolins, and a banjo and introduced them to us as "his band" in a marvelous way that made one feel as if they really were his friends. The songs he played were moving and intimate. Haunting and lively. The lyrics were like poems put to music and created a remarkable mood in our living room, describing landscapes and events in a remarkably vivid way. And the instrumentals. . . wow! They were like rides down waterfalls and through dark forests and open sunny meadows in turn. The time went by like a split second and good friends became better friends in their gratitude at being included. We would have him perform in this environment again in a heartbeat, although he is a very busy musician, booked for many tasks and performances at any time. All participants agreed that he'd be great in many different venues, large and as small as our house. He made a cold winter evening in January in the countryside of New York warm indeed!

Additional Booking Notes
Some settings require amplification- even for acoustic music! Others do not. If amplification is needed I will need access to power and a small area to set up the equipment and perform in. Thanks in advance!
