Sadie Gregg has been commended by the press as "a mezzo-soprano with a rich, flexible instrument," and as “a standout” whose "amber-toned mezzo-soprano sounded strong across her full range."
Sadie has appeared with Seattle Opera, Portland Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Odyssey Opera, Oregon Mahler Festival, Tualatin Valley Symphony, Bravo Northwest, Cult of Orpheus, Clackamas Repertory Theater, Big Mouth Society, Ping & Woof Opera, Boston Opera Collaborative, Metropolitan Chorale of Brookline, and Lowell House Opera at Harvard University. Recent engagements include Wondrous Women with Friends of Chamber Music, Chehalem Cultural Center Night of the Moon Gala and Boxed Show Series with Opera on Tap, Durufle Requiem with Celebration Works at First Presbyterian Portland, and Rose City Art Song Concert with Cult of Orpheus.
Sadie is a Managing Diva of the Portland chapter of Opera On Tap, a nationwide, non-profit that brings opera to the people at their local watering hole. You can find her emceeing/singing at events like McMenamins Grand Lodge Hotel Opening Party, Opera in the Honors Bar, and Opera in the Gym at Kennedy School.
Sadie is the leading vocal member Cult of Orpheus, Portland’s only all-original opera and art-song company. In her role as Vox Prima she recruits and coordinates troupe members while also lending her vocal artistry to the stage, concert hall, and recording studio.
In addition to performing, Sadie maintains a private teaching studio with the Portland Music Collective. Sadie believes that anyone can sing, and that classical technique is the foundation to any kind of singing, whether opera, musical theater or pop. Sadie teaches with warmth and enthusiasm, providing her students with a supportive environment to do their best learning.
A native of Washington State, Sadie earned her B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University, and her M.M. from New England Conservatory. (link hidden)
