Sam fulfilled our wish for a private outdoor acoustic set featuring a Bob Marley playlist. He was wonderful to work with and created such a chill vibe for our event — exactly what we were hoping for. Thank you, Sam!

I searched the internet for a specific music genre for the Grand Opening of my CBD store in Helotes TX. I found that sound in Sam Johnson. An incredible singer, songwriter and musician with great vocal capabilities. The audience was captivated by his unique sound and delivery. We will be hiring Sam again in the future as well as many others that saw him perform. Sam just moved from California to Austin and I’m glad we were the first one’s to show Sam some Texas appreciation for great musical artists. Welcome To Texas Sam!

I booked Sam and his bandmates for my husband’s surprise 50th birthday party. I must’ve scrolled through hundreds of musicians trying to choose a band that would appeal to my husband. He absolutely loves music and I wanted this to be very special for him. When I first heard his videos, I knew he was the one. I sent him a message, expecting that I wouldn’t be able to afford him because he was that good. He responded promptly, and I was shocked that he was that affordable. Sam and his band far exceeded any expectations that I could’ve ever had. My husband was absolutely floored by their talent. He literally parked himself on a bench right in front of the band taking it in multiple times throughout the night. Sam’s ability to put his own twist to well known songs with his one-of-a-kind voice is breathtaking and soothing. His own original songs were beautiful and I know he’s going to be a superstar someday. I just hope he still comes back in plays at our parties when he is! At times through the night I literally got goosebumps and many of our guests have sent me videos, which gives me goosebumps again when watching ! Everyone was super impressed and kept asking. “Where did you find this guy?” my husband keeps saying “ Wow! That band was so awesome !” Sam and his band mates were professional, kind, and easy to work with. I highly recommend you book Sam and his crew for your next event.

I've seen Sam multiple times, since all the way back to 2011 or 2012. He's a consummate professional and innovative as an artist. He is the sound of California for this day and age, much like how the Beach Boys, RHCP and Sublime were for their time.

I first heard Sam Johnson play during his residency at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. His sultry voice and smooth sound were captivating. 7 years later, he sounds better than ever. Not only is he an incredible vocal artist, but songwriter too. I always look forward to the new releases of music from Sam Johnson. We loved him so much we even acquired his services to sing at our wedding! He made the even memorable and added perfection to an incredible celebration.

Sam made my husband's milestone birthday party a huge success, and was amazing to work with along the way. He listened to and delivered exactly the vibe i was going for (backyard birthday with tacos, covers and some originals, fun to sing along and dance), and was incredibly responsive (great at texts and calls and worked quickly to get things organized), solutions-oriented (got his friend Michael, an awesome cajon player, to join when i thought it might be nice to have a beat), kind (super thoughtful and customer-first in multiple ways), and TALENTED! our friends and family loved his voice and energy and lots of kids and adults were having the best time dancing and singing along to his music. i'm so grateful to Sam (and Michael) for making my husband's birthday so special. for anyone who is looking to hire an amazing guitarist and singer (and potentially with band), i give Sam my highest recommendation.

Sam came out to play Saturday night for our event and was great! He has excellent originals and great cover, and his impromptu is hilarious and fun. 5 stars all around, thank you Sam.

I booked Sam at the 11th hour and he rocked it out! He had a cool vibe and made this event planner’s experience a smooth one from planning to personalization and the performance. He has a great voice and even sang a punk rock birthday song to our coordinator (matching the event theme). I’ve hired many performers through these apps but Sam has been my favorite :-) I highly recommend!

We have hired Sam to play at a few of our parties and he never disappoints. He shows up on time and is very responsive when trying to communicate. He can play his original songs or anything you would like. He always engages the crowd as well. I would highly recommend him for your next event!

Sam was extremely professional, sounded excellent, and was most importantly extremely accommodating to our group. His voice + guitar sounded exactly like the clips he has on his profile, which sound great, and he was able switch over to playing Spotify music when we asked him to turn the event into more of a dance party.
