You can expect a positive experience with me! Not only am I great with my camera and capturing the event, but I'm fun to be around and like to make a solid connection with who I'm working for. I'm also a bit of an over-shooter - I tend to take as many photos as humanly possible so I don't miss an important moment! Coming from a news background, I take my in-the-moment shots just as seriously as I do my staged shots. Clients can expect their photos to be delivered in a timely manner, too! (Who likes waiting months for photos? Not me.) Event coverage starts at $350 per hour, and you can expect up to 50 edits per hour hired. Portraits, headshots and creative sessions start at $450 per hour with 25 edits. For shoots where we’ll need to photograph headshots or portraits for more than 10 people in an hour, the rate increases based on what’s needed. Hey there! My name is Samantha, I'm a photographer, videographer and creative professional here in Nashville. I’ve been told I have a gift for making people look really cool when they’re in front of my camera, but what I love most is when they tell me how it makes them feel. I lead every shoot with good energy, positive vibes and a whole lot of “yass” when I see my clients through the lens. Photography is so much more to me than just pictures or even out of the box ideas. Sure – getting people covered in glitter, surrounded by disco balls or turned into an alien for a day is fun – but really, it’s about the energy exchange between me and the person I’m shooting. I’m not just going to take your picture – I’m going to be your hype-woman, your pose guide and your peaceful guru all in one. I’m going to get your best angles, listen when you tell me what side you like more, and edit the photos how I would want myself to be edited – subtly and beautifully.

Working with me, you get 18+ years of experience in photography, styling, storytelling, modeling, theater and acting – all ingredients that make your vision a colorful and engaging final product. My background is in print journalism, so on top of photos you’re also getting the gal who knows how to work quickly, efficiently and can make a deadline. Whether it’s corporate candids, party coverage, wedding moments or just a portrait, my blend of moxie-driven professionalism and distinctly unique visuals means you’ll receive not just a photoshoot, but a photoshoot experience – with zero worries, a lot of fun and all the good vibes. It has become my personal mantra that when my clients invest in me, their investment then multiplies for them tenfold. In my years of experience, I've learned to work in any lighting condition - from a dimly lit conference speech to an overexposed mid-day June wedding, I know how to use my camera (self taught Canon shooter over here!) to get the best results before I even get to the editing. On site, I'm professional, outgoing, cheerful and efficient. My passion is truly taking photos that stand out, and ones that make the client feel good about themselves.

If you'd like to have a cool sizzle reel of your event with music to set the tone over it, I'm your girl! I can capture basic audio in a normal space, but if you're looking for big audio, loud crowd sound recording, I can recommend some amazing audio/video folks! Just shoot me a message and we'll talk more. :)

When it comes to lighting, I love natural light whenever possible but I own a huge stage light that brightens up ANY room, as well as two fun neon stage lights. I love getting creative with lighting, but am flexible in natural light as well. I have on camera flash as well as a handy Speedlite for indoor or nighttime shots.
