I wish I could give more than 5 stars to SambaViva because they deserve it! As someone who rarely writes reviews, I feel like I HAVE to make it known just how awesome this company was. I started looking for dancers for a 60th birthday party literally 5 days before the birthday party and was frantically searching for dancers on such short notice. Rachel was one of the first people that responded back to my requests and was nothing but pleasant and professional. Everything from the booking process and communication with Rachel was fantastic and within 2 days she was able to find me dancers that were available to perform for the party.
Rachel and the dancers all made sure their performance was exactly catered to what we were asking for, everything from costume and even customizing their routine to ensure that our 120+ guests and birthday girl all had a fun time. The dancers were so friendly and accommodating when we had a few minutes delay, and when they cane out, they completely changed the energy and atmosphere of the entire place! I can assure you, EVERYONE at our party loved the performance and I'm STILL getting compliments of how awesome these dancers were. Thank you SambaViva for an unforgettable experience!!

What to Expect
As a member of the SambaViva audience (a galera, in portuguese), expect to be amazed by a high energy performance with skilled dancers! Be moved by the rhythms of Brazilian music which does not allow anyone to stand still! Also be prepared to join in the fun! We encourage audience participation with clapping, dancing, singing and posing for fun photos, while creating a carnival-like experience.
Our dancers perform various types of dance with authentic costumes including carnival style samba from Rio de Janeiro, samba de gafieira partner dancing, forro partner dancing, folkloric Afro-Brazilian dance from Bahia, Axe Brazilian pop music choreographies, jazzy/funky malandro style samba and maculelê sugar cane harvest ritual dance. We also do variety shows that can include a combination of the dance styles we offer. Performances can also include a lesson or be a lesson! Recorded and live music options are available. We teach Brazilian dance classes and are happy to show party goers dance moves that will help them to participate and get into the carnival spirit. Audience members will be having a cultural experience while enjoying the excitement of Brazilian dance and music!
