We were so lucky to have Samir be a part of our wedding by doing the ceremony music. He did such a phenomenal job singing at our ceremony!! Samir's voice filled the church and wowed every guest in attendance. Our wedding guests continue to rave about Samir's performance, even months after our wedding. He worked with us in the months prior to our wedding to help us choose which songs he would sing and checked in with us frequently to select the versions of the songs we liked best and that would fit our church ceremony. I recently hired Samir to sing a selection of Broadway showtunes at my wedding. This was a surprise for my husband who is a huge Broadway show fan. I was completely blown away when I heard Samir's demo and then in person he was even more amazing!! He has incredible talent and stage presence and entertained our guests. Samir came to surprise my father during his wedding reception, and sang a few of his favorite numbers. As soon as he realized what was happening, my dad stood up and started singing along. It was great! Everyone was surprised to have a little extra dinner entertainment, and Samir put on a hell of a good show. He talked to the crowd and made sure everyone enjoyed his presence. I had booked Samir for my wedding and was so happy I did. I didn't know much about music for weddings and after sending him my readings he was able to put together music that was both classic but different. I am a young medical student from NYC who is currently in the Albany area! I absolutely love to sing and perform and would be so happy to make your event better in any way I can! I love getting to know clients before their events and really tailoring my performances to meet their needs. I am incredibly vocally flexible (with a very strong high belt) and have experience with many different vocal styles (musical theater, classic, soul, gospel, choir, etc.) I have performed professionally at countless events, but every single event I do is special to me.
Outside of performing, I am typically studying. My medical passions include research on effective group practice protocol for low socioeconomic status patients, as well as active involvement in under-served healthcare at free clinics.
Requirements for sound include microphones, a vocal monitor, and sound output for a keyboard if a regular piano is not available! Other than that, setup is very simple with mic stands, piano, music stands, and me! I like the focus to be on the music and entertainment, not on the stage!
