If you hire me, you can expect someone who is, besides entertaining, flexible, responsible and respectful. I am mindful of the volume and try to "read the room" to ensure my music selection appeals to the audience. You will find it very easy to work with me and I will do everything within my control to make your event a total success!
Note: I also have wireless mics, for those wishing to make announcements/toasts/etc. from their seats (or away from the stage).
Hi! My name is Gus Sanchez and singing is my passion! Over the past 20+ years, I have had the privilege of performing at many weddings and restaurants as well as corporate, anniversary, birthday and graduation parties.
Musically, I "cover a lot of ground". My repertoire includes many, many popular songs from the '40s through today. I love the variety and I'm sure you will too.
If you are looking for music entertainment for your private/corporate event or restaurant, look no further! My experience and extensive repertoire make me the ideal choice.
My technical requirements are pretty simple - I require a single electrical socket or extension cord. From there, I can power my computer and PA equipment.
In terms of space, I can use something as small/tight as a 5' x 5' area (like a corner of a room) or spread out to cover a standard stage.
The set list can depend on the mood of the room, and I will typically "go with the flow". However, typically, I will use "easy listening" selections towards the beginning of the evening, then move on to more upbeat/dance-able songs as the evening progresses and people have eaten. There would be breaks for any special songs/requests. For example, early on, I might do:
Summerwind - Sinatra, Frank
How Sweet It Is - Taylor, James
Budapest - Ezra, George
Wagon Wheel - Rucker, Darius
Margaritaville - Buffet, Jimmie
Moondance - Morrison, Van
La Mentira - Miguel, Luis
Eventually moving up to songs like:
Brown Eyed Girl - Morrison, Van
Runaround Sue - Dion and the Belmonts
September - Earth, Wind and Fire
I Wish - Wonder, Stevie
All Summer Long - Kid Rock
Shape of You - Sheeran, Ed
etc.
Hope that helps!
I am a child/product of the 70s and 80s. However, as a singer, I appreciate music from all sorts of decades and genres. In particular, I lean towards "popular" music, so you'll definitely have heard the songs I perform. I like to say my range runs from Frank Sinatra to Kanye West!
