Energetic & Insatiable Latin/Tropical Beats!
Sang Matiz, a Bay Area-based and female-led band, has garnered a reputation for enlivening audiences with their insatiable World and Afro-Latin beats, fusing Tropical elements with touches of Funk. With musical finesse, they've perfected a unique combination of styles that weaves catchy, syncopated melodies with flamenco-infused guitar licks. The music and rhythms played by Sang Matiz take you on an exciting journey through Colombia, Brazil, Peru, the Caribbean, and beyond with Cumbias, Samba, Rumba, Son Cubano, and more!
The extended repertoire of styles and rhythms, gives the band a special mark making them exclusive for your event or venue.
We hired Sang Matiz to play an event at the elementary school I work for! They totally rocked, everyone from preschool to fifth graders absolutely loved their music! The songs were fantastic, they were super engaging and I couldn’t believe the sound they achieved with only 4 people. I couldn’t be happier! Thank you!!
What an amazing group of talented musicians. My wife hired them for my 51st birthday party. If never heard them prior to this. As they began to play their upbeat Latin/Caribbean style music the room came alive. My guest immediately hit the dance floor. If you are considering hiring a band that will have your guests talking for months then look no further than Sang Matiz!
Thank you so much! I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday.

This Band was amazing. They kept us dancing all night. I definitely will hire them again.
Response from Sang Matiz:
Thank you, Isabel! It was such a pleasure playing live music for your family’s birthday! So happy we could make you dance and feel good :) Looking forward to the next one!
Great sound! Awesome people
We knew they would be good, but to be that good? No way. They were AMAZING and even to say that isn't enough. Our wedding was beautiful, but it was absolute perfection and the BEST party we have ever been to, because Sang Matiz was there, playing their hearts out and giving the crowd exactly what they wanted - a dance party for the ages. They knew how to play to the crowd, were charismatic and were the utmost professional.
Rana, their band manager, was an ease to communicate with, and went above and beyond at every turn. Most especially, when we requested they play our first dance live - Rana kept open communication and was honest about the band's capabilities from the get-go and in the end, made our first dance exactly what we wanted when it would've been MUCH easier to play the original off a playlist.
I could go on and on and on ... long story short, Sang Matiz made our night and will forever be one of my favorite bands.
Response from Sang Matiz:
My god, Leanna...
Thank you infinitely for your enthusiasm and heartfelt words. It made us all, especially me, super happy to be able to give you two beautiful people what you wanted on your special day! We all had a blast performing for you all :) Stay vibrant, Besos!
Wow, I have nothing but love for the Trio that San Matiz provided us during the dinner portion of our event. My husband surprise party. Music was fantastic, professional and just an outstanding sound!
Our guest loved the way they played. Gifted artist, talent. I could have booked them for the whole evening and would have had a blast! Con mucho gusto, y Alegria! Gracias por tu musica, voz y personas!
