Santa Claus Irwin

Our 12/15/24 reservation for Santa was made 12/19/23, a year prior to our event. In the full year of time, at no point did Gig Salad double check and confirm details of the event. A token, auto generated email was sent to confirm, but nobody is actually looking through the reservations, because if they did, SOMEONE would have reached out with questions.
We hired Santa Irwin to attend a CHILDRENS BRUNCH. The times entered were 100% wrong on our end. Instead of 9:00AM-1:30PM, the time was set for 9PM-1:30AM. We will fully own the misstep of AM/PM mix up portion of the reservation. However, did it not look weird to anyone at GigSalsd or Santa Irwin who accepted the booking that we would gave a children’s brunch that ran through the middle of the night? I have a confirmed message that shows our details were “seen”, yet clearly nobody bothered to read the request and description of the event, which is required by the booking platform. If nobody is going to read it, then why have it as a part of the booking process. So for 12 months, this went unchecked. We may have been able to avoid this gross mishap if Santa Irwin would have even bothered to return a phone call. We attempted to call him on 3 different occasions months earlier, left voicemails, with no return call. If you are going to charge $800 (prepaid of course) for a booking, you have to return a phone call.
Gig Salad, where is your accountability? You collect money for a service that goes unchecked. What else are you not following through on? We called you when we couldn’t reach Santa Irwin, and you “looked over” the reservation and assured us it was booked. Would you have a least read all the details as well? Would that not have provoked a question about timing?
Santa Irwin, we had just over 100 disappointed children this past Sunday. Had you returned the phone calls for confirmation, we could have realized the error well in advance and had a chance to cancel the event giving those families an opportunity to change their plans. Instead you called back the morning of the event to inform us that the start time was 9 PM and you aren’t coming. We had 1 hour to call 50 families to inform them of your absence before they arrived at the event. You can certainly throw your hands up and point fingers at us for not entering the correct time, but did you really think the children’s brunch started at 9PM? You are the one that let those kids down. We had the pleasure of actually having the 50 disappointing phone calls. No skin off your though, right?

It is shameful that there is not a more thorough process. You were quick to accept payment, but then never were accountable for confirming details. Again, our error for mixing up the AM/PM but it went unchecked for a year!

I would absolutely love a full refund. Which we probably won’t get. We also won’t get those 50 families back for future events. So your lack of accountability and communication will cost us beyond the $800.

If other customer miners actually read this, you automatically want to check out “The Bash” company for booking Santas. We booked another Santa for an earlier date with them. Due to an availability issue we had to book with Santa Irwin and GigSalsd. Their customer service The Bash provided was overwhelmingly good. They actually called to confirm other details that weren’t included in the booking process. Yes, someone from that company and the Santa actually read the details before accepting the job and then called. I talked to an actual person.

Irwin was fantastic! Executed the directions perfectly, remembered the details, and made it all seem so natural! The kids were absolutely thrilled and talked about it all night. We highly recommend. Thank you for keeping the Christmas Spirit going!

We were honored to have Santa Irwin attend Lily Lakes First Christmas Tree Lighting event. I definitely will use him every year!! He was loved by both the adults and the kids! He did an amazing toast before our lighting! Highly recommend!!

Irwin was so warm and kind, as we recessed back up the aisle he greeted us with big arms! And during the cocktail he was dancing to our salsa band with the guests including myself the bride. People were so happy to see him! And he even allowed the adults to sit on his lap! He closed the cocktail hour with warmly taking photos with myself and my husband treating us to a beautiful magic trick! I’d explain what he did but I don’t want to ruin the surprise! Even without the magic trick, he himself was magic… he stayed in character the entire event… and has lovely words of wisdom to give to my husband and myself, only words Santa could share…do not hesitate to book Santa Irwin! He was truly a Godsend! Thank you so much Irwin for being who you are…I have to share some photos at a later time…

Irwin did a great job, he took the time to review the pictures and information I provided him and spoke to the children by their names, gave them each as much time as they wanted for photos and answered questions. Was a great experience and lifelong memories for our family!!!!

We asked Santa Claus Irwin to come to our wedding and mingle with our guests during cocktail hour. Needless to say, he was an absolute hit with EVERYONE! Santa was so great at making sure everyone got a picture with him and got into fun poses, etc. Our guests are STILL talking about Santa Claus Irwin, so I would say "job well done"! Highly recommend Santa Claus Irwin for any event you may have!

We hired Irwin to come to our Christmas Eve to hand out gifts to the kids. He did such a great job and even told some stories and answered the kids questions. Definitley recommend!

Santa and Mrs. Claus were amazing and really helped make the party a blast.

Santa did a great job with the kids and photos. We booked him for 2 hours of Santa mini photos and I loved how the photos turned out. It was great that he came prepared with some books for kids that were a little scared to help them warm up a bit. I would for sure book again!

Santa has visited our community during the holidays for several years. Even when COVID occured & lockdowns were lifted, Santa visited & took photos with children & adults outdoors. He has taken numerous pictures with local children & their families, while quietly listening to the childrens' xmas lists. He warmly & patiently engages shy children & those with sensory sensitivities. Santa always has a lot of fun at his visits & jokes often with everyone, making sure all are having a good time. He has also taken pictures with many local dogs & genuinely enjoys visiting with them; Santa loves dogs! Santa said he has three dogs of his own, so he is used to pups of all types & sizes. If you want a loving, fun, didactic, & engaging Santa, look no further!
