As a survivor of domestic violence, an author, blogger and former teacher, I bring my life and classroom experience together to better educate society on the dynamics of abusive relationships. I have worked closely with local non-profits raising awareness, but I have also worked with police departments to better train their officers.
My goal in speaking is simple: to inspire people to look outside of what they think they know and, in turn, better understand why the abused stay in unhealthy relationships. More than that, to prove that voices have power and the more people there are who support survivors, the sooner we can end this nationwide epidemic.
