The Scott Dickinson Trio provides authentic, intimate vocal and instrumental jazz.
The music was great but his demeanor wasn't as good.
Response from Scott Dickinson Trio:
Thanks for your review commenting on the high quality of the music from the event on 12/3! I'm struggling to remember what could have elicited the comment about poor demeanor. I can only recall everything being positive and professional.
These gentlemen are incredibly talented and very professional. We had them play for our wedding reception in Jacksonville and they really made our night so very special. They have a sound like Grant Green and Chet Baker that soothes and grooves and inspires. These incredible gentlemen helped make our wedding absolutely unforgettable. Hope I get many more opportunities to see them play again.
Response from Scott Dickinson Trio:
Kelly and Kyle,
Thanks so much for your kind words! It was a pleasure to meet you both, especially as I feel we are old friends from the saga of your engagement! Playing your reception was a great treat for us for sure. Exceptional venue, and some quality guests that seemed to appreciate the kind of music we played. I wish you both happiness and success in your lives together!
Sincerely,
Scott

Many have compared Scott's vocal style and approach on the trumpet to the great Chet Baker, whose stature as a singing trumpeter rivaled even the incomparable Louis Armstrong. The comparison is welcome, but only partially describes the aesthetic quality of the Scott Dickinson Trio.
The trio is comprised of some of central Florida's top jazz talent. Local guitar legend Bobby Koelble provides the harmonic framework for the ensemble. Bobby is an incredibly versatile instrumentalist, equally adept in a supporting role as he is creating melodically intricate, exciting improvisations.
Bassist Ben Kramer plays with an authenticity and mastery of the jazz tradition that betrays his young age. Without a drummer Ben is most often the sole provider of the pulse, and is uniquely suited to creating a strong groove.
Scott leads the band with a focus on high musicality in performance and writing. Having studied under some of the most accomplished performers and composers in the world of jazz, Scott brings a sense of depth uncommon in similar ensembles.
The core of the trio's repertoire is firmly centered within the great American songbook, but the band evades predictability through the creation of tasteful arrangements that bring the group's instrumentation to it's full potential.
