Our school PTA hired Scott Gibbs to video record the school's talent show. We had promised the parents that we would be providing them with the videos of the event so asked them not to take them during the show. This was the worst mistake we have ever made. Scott came to the event that were held on both days. We even paid him an extra $100 to edit the videos. I had to keep emailing and texting him to see when the videos and the photos would be ready. Almost every other day, I would get a text from him telling me of his hardships - I know people have challenges in life, but it was extremely unprofessional of him to give me the excuses he was giving me - after spending weeks and weeks asking him to give me the videos, he finally told me that he was having issues where the videos he had taken didn't have audio and was trying to "fix" that - I have no idea you can fix that since there wouldn't be any way for him to come with the audio. It was really frustrating. Then, he told me that he would give me the videos on a flash drive and asked me to meet him at a Starbucks. I went there with my daughter and we waited for over an hour but he didn't show up! I called him and texted him several times, but to no avail. A week later, he finally decided to text me and tell me that he had over-slept. Then I asked him to give our PTA our money back since his videos were worthless with no audio. I spent the next three weeks with him promising me he would pay our Elementary School PTA back - but I never heard back from him.

If you are thinking of hiring Scott for any event, please DON"T. You will be extremely frustrated and angry - this year, we had high school student volunteers take the video and that came out so much better than what Scott came up with (even with no video) - shame on Scott for taking our elementary school's money for his own personal needs.
