She was born in Jamaica WI, and is now a citizen of the US. Joan graduated from Forest Hills High, in Queens, NY. She then attended Atlantic Union College, in So Lancaster, MA. She now resides in the US with her husband and daughters. She has been a youth leader and youth director for various organizations. Joan also headed groups that allowed teens to talk about their lives, experiences and self-esteem. She has helped youths build self-esteem, make friends and stop bullying; overcoming intimidation. Use power point for relationship seminars
Working in youth groups have allowed me to see how vulnerable our youths are. Allowed me to see how much they need reassurance, kindness and understanding. They can be easily lead, only because they want to be accepted. Having groups of young ladies and speaking one and one with youths led me to realize that they need encouragement and someone to listen to.
