Modern Rock/Spoken Word Songstress, Shadow carries 6 strings, to present poignant poetry, riveting rhythms, uncluttered yet vibrant choruses and melodies. Shadow dances up and down a 3 octave range to spew spoken word and song, with a ferocious flair to fan the flames that feed the fire, as a one woman, rock and roll medicine show spreading love from place to place.
Shadow has remained in the Top 10 Reverbnation Local Rock/Modern charts for 52 weeks, from 2014 to 2015.
In 2013 Shadow was invited to become a member of The Singer/Songwriter Sessions at The Bitter In 2013 Shadow was invited to become a member of The Singer/Songwriter Sessions at The Bitter End in New York City. Shadow completed her latest documentary “Behind The Pastie” A Peep Inside The World of Burlesque, showcasing the world famous Le Scandal Cabaret and Burlesque Theatre Company of NYC. Shadow is currently completing her BA in Music at Southern Connecticut State University.
Shadow is a local, award winning poet, singer, songwriter and artist educator. Shadow received an array of formal musical and artistic training at The Neighborhood Music School, Yale University, The Educational Center for The Arts and the Arts Council of Greater New Haven.
As a solo performer, Shadow has been featured at The Bitter End, The Baggot Inn, The Nuyoricans Poets Cafe and The Orange Bear in NYC, as well as The Long Wharf Theatre, The Muddy Cup in MA, Almhurst College in New Hampshire, Artspace, Cafe9, BAR, The Tune-Inn, The International Festival of Arts and Ideas, The New Haven Advocate Festival and more.
Collaborations have included Michael Mills; Obie Winner, Dal Orlander-Smith; international world music sensation, Sally Nyolo; Broadway dancer, Larry Farrell; Boston pianist, Jennifer Minuto and gospel greats, The Golden Stars.
