From one photographer to another, I must say that Shane was an absolute joy to work with. We hired him because of his candid approach to shooting events and he did not disappoint. He was easy to book, extremely responsive to email/phone calls, and very flexible, which was great since we hired him to shoot a graduation. He was also great with my daughter, and took some beautiful candid photos of us as a family. I am so thrilled to have found him and will definitely be hiring him again for another family shoot down the line. If you want candid, "day in the life" photography of your family or event, then definitely go with Shane, you will not regret it!

I loved working with Shane! We had a shoot at Old Muscle Beach in Santa Monica and it was amazing. I am sooooo happy with how my photos turned out and I can't wait to shoot with him again! He was really fun to work with too!

First, let me just say that the pictures from the photo shoot with Shane came out wonderful -- better than I than I even imagined. He was professional and he came to the shoot prepared with exactly what he needed to shoot at day and night. Just how experienced Shane is became evident as soon as we started shooting pics. I had my own ideas for the shoot, which he respected and incorporated into his approach, but he also brought a lot of ideas with him that translated into great photos. Seriously, I look like a rock star in these photos. I recommend him to everyone and will definitely hire him again in the future.

My husband and I had been looking for a photographer for several months, finally we came across Shane. We had the BEST experience with him. He was wonderful to work with and very easy going. We LOVED our photos, he was patient with our one year old, and his prices were very affordable. I had contacted other photographers but their prices were beyond crazy, or they just never responded to my calls or emails. Shane was quick to respond and easy to accomodate. We will definitely be using him again in the future. I would recommend to anyone!

Shane was so easy to work with, he's both friendly and professional! During our shoot, he was super patient, and would literally lay down on the ground to get unique angles for my aerial skills. He then send me a link to an online gallery, I chose several photos I liked best, and he polished them up and sent them back to me within a day, ready to go. Loved working with Shane and his team. He made me feel very comfortable in my first Pole Fitness photo shoot. The images also came out amazingly. Enjoyed being able to shoot against two backgrounds (Black and white).

Shane helped me out on a really special day for me. Not to sound incredible cheesy, but he literally had told me "hey, no need to worry about me and my setup. I'll be there early and just enjoy things." He captured my engagement (In a bar's patio) with complicated lighting, multiple people, etc really well! He also served up our post processing pics of the even incredible fast, and has been the best at communication. I'd book him again with no hesitation.

Shooting with Shane is so much fun, and the pictures he takes are stunning. He utilizes lighting and angles extremely well, with a beautiful style that makes his subjects look like works of art. He also has a deep understanding of how dancers move and how best to capture us in motion. The process was easy, quick and comfortable, and I'm very happy with how my shots turned out!

Shane by far has been the best photographer I've ever worked with. He has a great eye for catching candid moments, and really keeping in mind what his clients need. He is also punctual, very responsive when I have questions, and the turn around time for receiving pictures is within a matter of days. Shane was fantastic! I hired him to take pictures of me and my two young kids as a surprise for my husband's 40th bday. I have a 5 month old baby that isn't sitting up yet which is always hard for this kind of a shoot but he was able to capture absolutely stunning photos of them. Shane was AMAZING! I live in Philadelphia so I was excited to go to a photographer in California! I really needed some new headshots and Shane was on top of it! Shane Karns is amazing and quick! I went to Shane for some updated headshots and I am astounded with the results. Shane was quick with responding and setting up a shoot date. Our sessions was quick but not rushed. The shots he captured were breathtaking. I couldn't believe that it was me in the shots. His camera is flawless. We shot a few locations and used natural and a few of Shane's soft lights. Each pic had a different look and feel. They were all professionally polished and left me with a great amount of choices. I will be shooting with Shane again! He's very talented and affordable! Personally I have been looking for a photographer who could capture my ebony skin correctly. A lot of photographers have trouble lighting me, especially in natural light. I never had that problem with Shane and I never even had to mention it. Our first shot was pure gold! We loved Shane's work from our Wedding Celebration! He was adept at seeking out the perfect angle to shoot for just the right image to capture the moment. We did a photo shoot on the beach with family visiting from out of town and Shane made it fun for everyone (little kids and grown-ups)! He was very relaxed which allowed us to enjoy ourselves. The photos came out beautifully and we are thrilled with the results.

So we just hosted our webseries premiere at the Downtown Independent, and we obviously had a million things on our mind. Shane came in with a smile, set up his lights, and immediately got work. He was super friendly, and funny and it was a blast having him there. But when we got the pictures back I was blown away. I'll admit it- they made me cry. He perfectly captured our night - getting beautiful pictures of all the love that was being shared, and amazing photos of all of us and our friends. I'm so grateful that we found Shane to document the night, because he really did it justice. If you're looking for an awesome photographer, I can't recommend Shane enough!

I am a party entertainer and I was recently performing a magic show at a children's birthday party. Shane Karns was photographing the event. He took some wonderful pictures of my performance; and got amazing candid shots of myself interacting with the children. The expressions on the kids faces that he caught were priceless. You can't help but smile when you look at these pictures. The smiles on their faces, the joy in their eyes, the laughter...Shane was able to capture and preserve these special moments for these kids and their parents to look back upon for years to come.

Dealing with Shane you can tell that he is an enthusiastic person; he radiates a wonderful positive energy and was a pleasure to work with.

We hired Shane for both ours kids' birthday parties, and he exceeded our expectations. He was referred to us, he did not disappoint, his shots were right on, he is very patient, hides away doing his thing, captures the right moments, and you don't have to tell him what to do.
