Shane O'Neill is a talented guitarist, vocalist and songwriter based in Boston. He’s inspired by everything from the delta blues to roots rock to guilty-pleasure pop. His singer-songwriter influences include Bob Dylan, Paul Westerberg, Sting and many others.
As a solo cover song performer, Shane plays popular songs in genres including folk, soul, pop, country, rock and reggae. He plays regularly at Boston-area venues and always plays with joy and honesty. His main goal as a performer is to keep the crowd smiling and singing along to songs they know and love.
Shane O’Neil has a beautiful voice and a wonderful varied song list for a multi aged crowd of people. He kept the party going and was a delight. Everyone commented on what a great talent he was and how wonderful it was to have live entertainment at a house party. I’d definitely hire him again!!!

I sing popular cover songs for 2-3 hours, with a balanced mix of upbeat and mid-tempo, classic and modern. Most of the time I stand, but I will sit on a stool in smaller, more intimate environments. My dress is casual but professional.
I try to keep things loose with the audience. I'll joke around between songs if it feels right. I do 45 mins on, 15 mins off and then play a full 60 minutes for the last set of the night.
I bring and set up my own gear - PA speaker and stand, mixer, pedals, mic and mic stand, acoustic guitar.
