Shani can draw in a crowd with her mix of contemporary covers, her own original songs, and groovy classics; her soulful voice combined with guitar, keyboard, and occasional ukulele playing lends to a dynamic and multi-dimensional show. She often throws in songs from such artists as Adele, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, and John Legend, just to name a few. And, she is professional and ready to go -- providing her own keyboard, guitar, sound system, and microphones that are perfect for indoor or outdoor venues.

Shani will make you dance, sway in your seat, laugh, cry, and feel the magic of the moment, whatever your event might be. Shani is also available for learning special requests for your event, as well as writing custom songs for a special occasion that you might want to make even more special (please inquire for details and rates). Shani Rose is an award winning songwriter and "Pop/rock songstress with a Soulful Crunch". She has a unique way of combining her acoustic coffeehouse bravado with hook-laden, anthemic sounds to create pop gems for her solo and duo projects, as well as when writing for other artists. The Los Angeles native started playing piano at the age of 7, and continued her studies as the pianist in her high school jazz band, and later as a music major (songwriting/composing) at University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music.

Shani's songwriting has won her 2 finalist awards and 3 semi finalist awards in the International Songwriting Competition (2016-18), out of 16k applicants in 137 countries. She also has songwriting credits with 2019 Romanian Eurovision Finalist Olivier Kaye, and America's Got Talent Finalist Laura Bretan.

Aside from her songwriting adventures and solo project, Shani releases music with her duo JØAN - her badass, fierce, female empowerment project, and Roseport - her upbeat, colorful indie pop project. She also has been featured as a vocalist/writer on releases with djs Hamster, Jako Diaz, and Sylow.

Pre-pandemic, Shani played regularly as a featured performer at Universal Citywalk, Downtown Disney, and local hotels and resorts. She transitioned to performing online on Twitch, and now sings daily for her toddlers (mostly “Wheels on the Bus” though). Her music can be heard in tv/film and commercials for clients such as MTV, Apple, Lifetime, CMT, Freeform, the CW, Netflix, and WB. To learn more, visit (link hidden).
