Shannon was a lovely collaborator on a fundraiser evening outdoors. She offered helpful feedback (no pun intended!) at the sound check, was gracious during a brief period of rain (!), and was a sensitive, intuitive, and accommodating accompanist. She welcomed notes and changes, even under time pressure. The background music she offered was appropriate to the spirit of the evening (and she even 'played' with a marvelous child who was moved to dance to her music!).

Shannon plays very well. She didn’t overpower our wedding moments. She shared ideas and also very respected my personal choices. She even suggested to polish the piano right before the wedding ceremony, that was personal, attending and beautiful. Even my newlywed husband, who does not like classical music, said he really enjoyed Shannon’s playing. I wish I could listen to her play during the Prelude, my processional bride entrance piece was played the way how I wanted to feel. Thank you very much, Shannon.

Shannon came to my daughter’s 4th bday celebration yesterday and it was wonderful to have her there! She sang and played piano beautifully and my daughter had a big smile when Shannon sang some of the songs that she was familiar with. Baby Shark song was a hit!

We invited Shannon for our kid's 2nd year birthday party. It was awesome to see her engage all the children. As most of the kids were between 1-4 yrs, they were bit apprehensive and clingy initially. But Shannon is such a friendly and warm person, she got the kids singing and dancing in no time. She is very talented and a good singer. She sang all the popular nursery rhymes and Disney songs which was a huge hit with all the kids.

This Lady is amazing...

Shannon sang at my one year old daughter's birthday party recently and she was wonderful! She provides a long list of recognizable children's songs to choose from and has such a lovely voice. She was very engaging and patient with kids and grandparents; very graciously while taking requests. She allowed the kids to touch and play her keyboard towards the end as well which was a big hit. She was very sweet and made the whole experience easy - will definitely keep her in mind for future bday parties.

There were a variety of age groups and all greatly enjoyed the genres that Shannon so easily manages to sing beautifully. We had a wonderful 60th birthday dinner celebration for my brother...Shannon absolutely MADE the event fabulous. She sang for most of the evening, playing guitar and keyboard. Her selections were perfect, and she included all that we asked for and more. She was very considerate and wanted to be sure that we were happy with her music. Her eyes danced as she sang, and she added so much energy to the party. Wish she lived down in So. Cal, I could sure use her again!

I can't express how great she made my party!
Shannon was very easy to work with. She kept me up to date with the arangments. She can play anything on the piano and kept all my guests (ages 5-90) singing favorites. Effort was always being made to get everyone involved and she made people want to sing along. Shannon is very carismatic and my guests all loved her. She even was asked for her contact information. I would be delighted to book her again.

Shannon brings connection, variety, joy, beauty, and a professional touch to her performances using singing, speaking, guitar, and piano skill when you hire Shannon.
She is easy to work with and can almost always find a program or song to fit your special occasion and your audience. She is loved by children, retirees, and every one in between.
She has sound equipment (microphones) and a sound person (her husband Shane) available for rooms up to 100 people.
Setting up Shannon's stage takes 15 minutes.
About
Multi-instrumentalist Shannon Hughes has played for thousands of people. A bachelors in piano and voice and experience touring across the United States give Shannon the skills to perform.
Originally from Alaska, Shannon has been performing since she was 11. She is a bright addition to any event.
Additional Booking Notes
Shannon has a sound system for a room of up to 300 people, including 2 microphones, a Bose stack speaker, and a 10 channel soundboard.
Shannon's full performance can use keyboard, guitar, piano, ukulele, looper, and microphone stands in addition to any needed sound equipment. A staging area of 10x10 is ideal. She has a sound person, Shane, that assists her with her performances as well.
She requires electricity.
She appreciates food whenever possible.
...Oh, and yes, drinks are always a bonus.
