If well-performed, the lion dance is believed to bring luck, good fortune and happiness. Lion Dance is considered a mandatory part of classical or traditional Kung Fu. Those who practice Kung Fu are usually very good at the dance because the lion dance utilizes the footwork, body movements, balance, and agility that is required in true Kung Fu.
