Shawn Shelnutt and his improv group were very personable, friendly, and most importantly very funny!
After Shawn was selected to do the show, he was very easy to contact through text messaging and emails, and he always got right back to me. We kept the lines of communication open right up to the time of the show. It was comforting to know that Shawn and his group would be there on-time (early) and that the show would be a success. I don't know who was more excited; me to to have the performance, or Shawn to perform. It was easy to sense and see his passion for the field of comedy during our conversations that led up to the show. I was also very impressed by Shawn when during one conversation he told me that he and his group would be rehearsing that night for our show.
Shawn and his group did arrive early on the date of the show. I met each member of his group before the show and they were all so very friendly and excited to perform. The show was for my father's 70th birthday party. It was awesome how they asked for tidbits of personal information about my father, and then hilariously incorporated it into the show.
As they performed, I looked around the room to make sure that everyone was laughing and having a great time. They ALL were. After the show, everyone I spoke to gave great reviews.
The bottom line is that I asked Shawn for a show that would give me that deep, uncontrollable belly laugh, and that kind of laugh that brings tears to your eyes. He and his group delivered, and went way above my expectations. I can't wait to invite them back to a future event, and will definitely refer friends and family who are looking to add laughs to their next big event.

Brew City Comedy was started by Shawn Shelnutt in late 2015.
Shawn is a stand up comic, and improv performer. He is goofball at heart and only wants to see others smile and laugh. He has performed for children and adults in various settings from church groups to comedy clubs.
Brew City Comedy was founded with the idea of having the same heart of caring and goofiness to bring happiness to as many people as we can.
All active members in Brew City Comedy have performance experience and/or some degree(s) of formal training in the performance arts, ranging from courses though Second City, UCB, ComedySportz, and college classes in performing arts.
