Shellem Cline is a nationally recognized artist who has performed on the professional level for seven years. Cline began his career on a local level singing with his family, the Gilbert Family. In 2004 Cline's grandfather Carl Gilbert was diagnosed with Crones Disease and shortly after, the family left the road. For two years Shellem traveled on a regional level as a solo artist and in 2006, at the age of 18, became a professional within the music industry. He traveled across the country until 2010 when he was approached by a local quartet in the Hickory, NC area. Cline traveled with the southern gospel quartet for a year handing all promotions and scheduling. After one year, Cline had the opportunity to help form a new progressive southern gospel trio. The trio would begin traveling in 2012 and would gain national attention soon thereafter. Cline, who led all promotion efforts, including radio promotion, would lead the trio to four top 80 hits in the Southern Gospel industry, two of which Cline was the writer.

In 2012 and 2013, Cline would be nominated for 5 individual awards within the realm of Gospel Music. The trio that he helped create would also gain four nominations, 2 of which they would win. Cline's personal nominations include, Songwriter of the Year, Lead Vocalist of the year, Radio Promoter of the Year, Comedian of the Year, Southern Gospel Forerunner, Concert Promoter of the year, New Excelling Artist of the year, and in May 2013 he would be named Young Excelling Individual in the Southern Gospel Music Fan Awards.

In November 2013, Cline realized a greater calling in his life and chose to follow a different path. Cline once again became a solo artist with a mindset that is different than before. Cline stated in a press conference that "I feel that I need to use the talent that God has given me to reach a world that most people today forget about, a world that needs good news and encouragement. We are use to gathering at church and giving encouragement, inspiration, and the message of the gospel to the believers, but we often forget about the individuals outside of church that needs to hear the good news to." Cline continued with "I feel that God is calling me to share humor, inspiration, and of course the message of hope in Christ to people that need it the most, the unbeliever." With this being said, Cline has not only focused his music on churches and religious gatherings, but also has worked on approaching people who would never set foot in a church, the ones that need the message and no one has tried to give it to them. Cline has been successful in this manner, performing in many campgrounds and "secular" venues that has proven to be God sent, seeing people come to know Jesus Christ.
