The World's Best tribute preserving and protecting the legacy of Jake and Elwood Blues. In Black and White, buzzing like bumble bees or dancing in Joliet Correctional Facility attire, we're the 1974 Dodge Monaco of Blues Brothers Tributes. Wherever the event, whatever the budget, however big or small the venue, we will custom-tailor a show to meet all of your specifications and exceed all of your expectations. From the second we enter the building, we embody the lovable Jake and Elwood Blues.
We’ve assembled the finest studio and live gig musicians in the industry for our 10-piece high-energy showband. Professionalism, reliability and flexibility are the cornerstone of our production.
We were looking for entertainment for our wedding, and didn't want just the same old wedding singer. After stumbling upon Shotgun Blues, there wasn't anyother option. These guys are true musicians and entertainers who actually live the characters and songs they are performing. If you are looking for a band or entertainment for your event, you should atleast give them a look. It was just like having the Blues Brothers right infront of you, never breaking character, the night played out wonderfully. We truly appreciate how special you made the night for us, it was something that we will never forget, and hope to be able to have them involved in future events when the opportunity presents us.
Response from Shotgun Blues:
Thanks Jeremy and Emily! The pleasure was all ours!!!
We had our DJ service and male & female dance vocals with the band for a portion of the night too.
Good time had by all!
I knew from the get that I wanted an amazing Blues Brothers cover band to surprise perform at my wedding. I and my family have always been a huge fan and I was so excited to find these guys.
I booked them sight unseen save for seeing some of their videos online. And I was so nervous because they were to be the surprise shocker of the night, walking out during group photos with mics to break out in song and dance. This was my wedding, the hugest event of my life thus far, and I was terrified that people wouldn't respond well to them, that it'd fall flat. Not everyone knows the Blues Brothers and it's just kind of an off the wall surprise so I didn't know which way it would pan out.
But it went beyond perfectly and amazing.
I wish I could post the video of Mitch and Jake walking out, in their getup, suitcase, handcuffs, etc and everyone's faces. They were amazing, unbelievable, and every single person went crazy for them. They got us so pumped up, they danced like crazy, they threw us all black sunglasses, and we all just went insane for them. It went off without a hitch, and to this day people are still talking about them.
I can't recommend these guys more. They are truly the best cover ever of the Blues Brothers, and they have an energy, magnetism, and talent that shines so bright while performing.
Late last summer we employed Jake and Elwood Blues a/k/a shotgunblues.com for our "Taste of Chicago Party" in Newport Beach, CA. People are still talking about this party. It was fabulous because of the entertainment. Both guys worked so hard to entertain and gave over 100% to make sure everyone was having a good time. Every single person was on their feet and dancing. I would not hesitate to recommend them or employ them again. I was very satisfied and so will you be!!! Joan and Terry Solon, Newport Beach, CA

We are a tribute that prides itself on truly being authentic. It's as if 1980 showed up at your event and wants the Blues Brothers back! We sing Blues Brothers songs. ONLY. We do not make modern references. We act like the Blues Brothers. So, don't be surprised to find some silverware gone or have your women taken by the end of the event. All your women!
We focus on interacting with the audience, not just putting on a memorized show. We work within the environment and elements. It's what blues music is all about. Predictable unpredictability. And it's what makes our tribute stand apart from the rest.
Hats, sunglasses, cartwheels, seemingly unrehearsed dancing and LOTS of Jake and Elwood shtick.
Who knows when Bumblebees might show up? Law enforcement may find their way to the venue! And, of course, when you need to quench your thirst, we've got three Orange Whips. Tons of hijinks is what you're about to witness, so call your mom and tell her you may not be home for a while!
"Well folks, it's time to call it a night. Do what you feel and keep both feet on the wheel. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here. So till next time..." - Jake Blues
We have been performing together for over 15 years. From the backyards of some of our favorite clients to the arenas of Fortune 500 companies who want the best tribute to John and Dan’s finest work, we continue to entertain audiences of all sizes, at any and all locations and destinations.
We get our inspiration from legends of the music world, back when music was... well, MUSIC. Every time we take the stage, we are not only paying tribute to one of the finest television & film comedy and musical duos of all times, but also paying respect to such legends as Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, Robert Johnson, Sam Cooke, Booker T & the M.G.’s, Wilson Pickett and all things Staxx.
Plainly said, "We’re on a mission from God... and the mission is the music!"
