I am a poet, spoken word artist, and motivational speaker. I write/speak about love, life, and relationships, drawing inspiration from my own experiences as well as those around me. I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in business and communications. I also have a Masters in Management & Leadership, with a second Masters in Organizational Development in progress. I am available for public and private events (parties/weddings/etc.), church programs, school presentations, features, and open mics, as well as corporate training meetings and workshops. I have been speaking and presenting going back to high school. There is no stage that I'm not comfortable with.

You can expect a great energy, polished performance, and professionalism both on and off stage.
I am originally from the small town of Moncks Corner, SC, which is right outside of Charleston, SC. My poetic home is not the Lowcountry though, but instead Upstate South Carolina. I read my first poem at an open mic in 2001 in Greenville, SC, while attending Furman University. Over the years, I have hosted, organized, and assisted in poetry events and open mics across South Carolina, the metro Atlanta area, and now and becoming involved in the Raleigh/Durham area. In December of 2010, I opened for Avant and J.Holiday at an event in Duncan, SC, and haven't looked back since. In addition to my behind the scenes work, I now find myself performing and hosting at open mics, special events, and in local schools. As one of the elder members of the Upstate Poets of South Carolina, I mentor the newer poets and provide support and advice to anyone in need. Additionally, I began slamming in 2011. I was a member of Upstate slam team Say What?!? coached by Moody Black. I have since coached my own team Tell It Like It Is, based in Greenville, SC, in 2012, and New Danger for the past two years. In 2011, I wrote her first commissioned poem for E.W.A.T.E. ((link hidden)), a womens empowerment group based out of Greenwood, SC. I am currently working on a book, in the process of co-founding an organization designed to support women poets in various ways, and developing a program to educate school children on creative expression, all while growing my real estate business. I write from the heart, speak honestly about all things, and live up to my namesake. My truth is meant to help people hear, grow, and change but at the end of the day, my motto sums up my poetry, what it means, how is given and meant to be received- in love. Beginning to end, all day, every day, I say it and mean it, "Love is love."
I am flexible and can perform in a variety of settings. Larger venues or spaces may require a microphone.
Performances will vary depending on what the needs of the client are. I have poetry that covers a range of topics.
I work with all types of poets and am influence by watching other perform, listening to their CDs, and reading their books. I also an am avid music fan and am often inspired by songs I hear.
