Dr. Felicia Rojas is a versatile violinist/vocalist whose experience ranges genres such as Classical, Pop, Rock, Celtic, Balkan, Mariachi, Peruvian Musica Criolla, and Asian Pop. Whether you are looking for a string quartet or a single violinist or vocalist to perform with piano Felicia can do it all!
Travel fees will apply for engagements outside of Lubbock.

Dr. Felicia Rojas, age 28, is an American violinist, vocalist, recording artist, and violin teacher working in the LA area. Ms. Rojas is a versatile artist whose performing experience includes genres such as Classical, Country, Rock, Balkan, Celtic, Mariachi, and Peruvian Musica Criolla.
Ms. Rojas currently works with a number of LA bands including Mariachi Divas, Sukha, and Blackwaterside in addition to pursuing her own solo career and putting together her own band (coming soon).
As a member of the Two-Time Grammy Award-Winning Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea, Rojas has performed at a number of festivals in various cities such as the Santa Barbara Mariachi Festival; the Sacramento Mariachi Festival; the Rosarito Mariachi Festival; and the Mariachi Northwest Festival in Wenatchee, Washington. She has also taught workshops in Spokane, Wenatchee, and Chicago. In addition, Rojas recently recorded on the Divas' 12th album, Tributo a Joan Sebastian y Rigoberto Alfaro, which was released on June 24th, 2016, as well as on a collaboration between Divas and Ozomatli for the latter's upcoming album. Felicia plays twice weekly with the new age band Sukha for bandleader and yoga instructor Sukhmani's yoga classes in Lomita and Manhattan Beach. The band also frequents festivals and holds yoga workshops and clinics throughout the year in addition to maintaining its concert schedule. For more information on Sukha, please visit (link hidden).

Felicia is currently putting together her own anime and video game music cover band called AoE (a video gaming term meaning "area of effect") in addition to pursuing a solo artist career. More information coming soon!

Ms. Rojas received a Bachelor of Music degree from Baldwin-Wallace University, where she studied under Dr. Julian Ross. During her time at BW, she had the opportunity to participate in the Bach Festival Orchestra for four years (in performances of the Mass in B Minor, theSt. Matthew Passion, the Christmas Oratorio, and the St. John Passion); productions of The Phantom of The Opera, Semele, and Our Town; and in masterclasses with Cleveland Orchestra members such as Takako Masami and Sonja Braaten.
Felicia also completed a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree and Master's degree from Texas Tech University, where she studied under Dr. John Gilbert. During her time at Tech, she participated as a member of the University Symphony Orchestra ((phone number hidden)5), the Graduate String Quartet ((phone number hidden)2), the LSO Educational String Quartet ((phone number hidden)2), the TTU Celtic Ensemble ((phone number hidden)4), The Eagle Heart Sisters dance troup ((phone number hidden)5), and the TTU Mariachi Los Matadores (2015). She has also performed at various churches in the Lubbock area, such as Westminster Presbyterian, First United Methodist, Lakeridge Methodist, and Christ the King Cathedral.
During her time in Lubbock, Dr. Rojas was also involved in coaching sectionals for the Youth Orchestras of Lubbock ((phone number hidden)4); played for Lubbock Moonlight Musicals in productions such as South Pacific (2014), Titanic (2014), and Shrek (2015); participated in masterclasses with artists such as Charles Castleman and Lina Bahn; played and sang as a member of Mariachi Mexico Lindo ((phone number hidden)5); participated as a member of various Lubbock area orchestras such as the Lubbock Symphony ((phone number hidden)3), the Plainview Symphony ((phone number hidden)5), and the Big Spring Symphony (2012); and served as a librarian in the TTU orchestra library ((phone number hidden)5).
