James and his band were amazing at our April wedding. We rented a historic dancehall and they made it feel incredible the whole night. Customized ceremony playlists, great cocktail hours music, and the full six-piece set for the dancing. Great to work with, very professional, great stage presence. Highly recommend!

This band is great!!! They played a lot of great covers of popular songs that got everyone up and dancing. I had a great time hearing them play.

We absolutely loved Six Sons of a Gun. They interacted with the crowd, had a great set up and music was perfect. Definitely suggest having them to anybody looking for a great country/western band.

We hired Six Sons of a Gun to play for our parents 60th anniversary party. They did a fantastic job! They arrived when they said they would and played outside in the heat for 3 hours. Played the older country tunes that we had requested. Just wish we could have had cooler weather so we could have danced more!

JD and the Band were absolutely amazing. We had our event at Stubb's BBQ and Six Sons of a Gun really brought the fun! They played the main stage and filled the entire venue with incredible music. Our guests absolutely loved them!
In addition to being a fabulous country western band, I also have to add the working with JD was awesome. He was prompt and professional and I instantly knew that I had selected the right band. Our event was a corporate networking party and JD understood that our guests needed to be able to chat and catch up with each other without having to yell to be heard. He kept the sound at the perfect level and the song selection was outstanding!
I cannot recommend Six Sons of a Gun enough! From our first contact to the post-event round up every interaction was perfect!

Nothing but a party!!

Six Sons of a Gun put on an incredible show for our wedding. Our guests raved about the dance party and how interactive the musicians were. I was very adamant on not having any band equipment at the ceremony site (which would then be flipped into the band stage) and James made sure to fill my request and was able to successfully transform the site much quicker than it normally takes. They even provided a PA system for our wedding party intro and first dances. If there were any bumps along the way they went completely unnoticed, as James and his band were easily able to adapt. I would highly recommend Six Sons of a Gun to provide entertainment at your next event!

I had James and his boys play at my 50th birthday party and they smashed it...after 6 months of not playing any gigs (hello COVID) they played a long set list which EVERYONE spoke about. It was a great vibe that night and their music was the glue which held it all together. Thank you James and 6 SONS!

I am pleased and happy to say that with these guys we had a little taste of "the before times". The musical talent and energy of Six Sons of a Gun is always impressive and surpasses our expectations. We had Six Sons of a Gun perform for my husband's birthday. He saw this band perform at the Austin Rodeo at the Travis County Sheriff's BBQ Tent. They put on a great show and play the best music. JD, the band leader is great to work with. They were on time and sounded great. We got lots of complements from our friends about the band and how much they liked them. They put on a great show.
