I've attended this event before too; the community is very warm, accepting of all talent levels and affirming of the introverted artists content to hold pencils and draw near each other. The models are well prepared, dressed in theme and the host does a great job at creating and curating a space that feels like home. It's low pressure and full of talented folks. Highly recommend!
I have been working with Sketkh and Jen for a few months now producing events at my bar in Burbank and have found them to be extremely adept in all facets of event production, as well as excellent people who care deeply about their audiences’ experiences. Cannot recommend them enough!
This is truly the sort of event we’ve been waiting for. Sketch nights provide a relaxing social atmosphere combined with a judgement free creative outlet. The vibes are always friendly and upbeat. It takes a lot for this introvert to add a reoccurring event to my calendar, but it has become a Don’t Miss.
Really well organized cosplay figure drawing session of Astarion from BG3. The cosplayer was excellent at posing in-character and had props with him to really change up each pose. There was a good mixture of short and longer poses for me to get a lot of practice in as well. The venue was perfect for this since it was a nerd restaurant & bar, which has great food and drinks.
A great experience every time, from start to finish. The hosts are so welcoming, supportive and they work incredibly hard to ensure that each event runs smoothly. The events are themed and there’s so much to look forward to, ranging from the atmosphere, curated playlist, the models, the costumes, lighting and the poses.
A welcome addition to the LA life drawing workshop scene, Sketch x Sketkh are great events in the Burbank/North Hollywood area. 2 Hour, themed, costumed workshops at some fun watering holes, with super friendly hosts make for a no pressure time to get your pencil mileage in!
Great atmosphere to practice the figure in a non classroom setting. The hosts are great and encouraging, the timing of each pose (ranging from 1min to 25min depending on the model) keeps it refreshing and I love that each event is themed with rotating models! One of the models being an absolute delight as she entertains everyone with jokes and stand up

Sketch by Sketkh was created by professional illustrator Sketkh Williams and producer Jennifer Martina, who collectively have two decades' experience in the world of art and live events. After 15 years creating events for artists, models and performers in New York city, this husband and wife team brought their unique, immersive style of figure drawing events to Los Angeles with the goal of creating a fun and welcoming environment to entertain, make art and build community at the same time!
We bring the model, art supplies, lighting and custom curated playlist. You provide a sound system to connect to via bluetooth or cable. Microphone optional. Sound equipment can also be rented for an additional fee.
