Sláinte is a group of 11 friends and musicians, specializing in upbeat Irish music. Formed in a dorm room at Boston College, Sláinte has been playing throughout New England and New York since 2013.
While we can tailor our size to play any event, our core lineup is a 5 piece including: acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, fiddle, and percussion (full kit or cajon). We can also provide tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, mandolin, accordion, and a second percussionist on request.
Our repertoire is about half Irish folk, half rock/country. We can play all Irish music for the event, no Irish, or any mix you like. We're always happy to play whatever mix of songs is right for your event!
Slainte provided a great vibe for our office happy hour!

Slainte is a 6-piece Irish-American folk rock band, formed in a Boston College dorm room in 2013.
We feature four vocalists, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, fiddle, whistle, flute, mandolin, saxophone, and drums.
Our style is rock-influenced Celtic folk. We love playing upbeat versions of the classic pub songs marrying rockin' electric guitar and sax solos with traditional fiddle and whistle parts. Lots of Dubliners, Clancy Brothers, Pogues, Saw Doctors, some Flogging Molly and Dropkicks, and some more contemporary Irish artists like The Cranberries or Ed Sheeran. We also do a number of classic rock, country, pop, and 90's non-Irish covers where appropriate. Eagles, CCR, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Killers, Foo Fighters, Billy Strings. We have a really wide repertoire of non-Irish music and are happy to tailor our set to whatever is right for your event.
Our home base is the Irish pub scene downtown Boston (bouncing between The Black Rose and Mr. Dooley's), and we travel often to New York and beyond for festivals, weddings, and special events.
We have our own sound gear, but happy to work with a house system if that's what the client wants.
