LP Black is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in the Greater New Orleans area. She graduated from Media Arts at NOCCA in 2004 and has been stumbling through various art spaces ever since. She began her journey writing sketches and performing standup in 2012, which include topics like the birth defect in her face, her mother, an offbeat tarot reader, and her sister, a straight-laced banker, along with all of the politics that come between. Her current focus is finding ways to set aside our differences and bring together the family members we can’t stand, the friends we unfollowed, and the co-workers we want to kill, in an attempt to unite the nation one meandering joke at a time.
