Smells like Seattle represents the great music that exploded from the Seattle Music Scene in the early 90's! We are dedicated as a group to pay tribute to the ground-breaking music of that era, bringing it back to audiences who long to hear them again! It is our commitment to play this legendary music with authenticity, as close to the originals as possible. We are truly a unique "Seattle" Tribute Band, covering the sounds of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains and more! Visit our website!
For the past several years I’ve had the pleasure of booking SMELLS LIKE SEATTLE at Swampgrass Willy’s located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The band consists of both talented and dedicated musicians who consistently put on a great show that the audience always enjoys. I highly recommend this band!
This band never ceases to impress me! I have watched these guys progress for the last year, and am constantly amazed at their work ethic and desire to please audiences with their talent and stage performance. They are great guys who always strive for the best. I recommend them highly both as good human beings and as performers. If there was a sixth star, they would get that rating from me.
Response from Smells Like Seattle:
Thanks so much John Russ! It's always a pleasure working with you and look forward to sharing more music! SLS

In late 2013, Todd Gatchel and Tommy Pinello, two guitarists from the South Florida area, hatched a plan to create a tribute to the Seattle rock groups of the early 90's. As fans of this era, they took their time in assembling a group of musicians who could help them accomplish this goal. It didn't come together without some bumps in the road, with turnover happening more often than they would have liked.
Perseverance paid off for them when they landed Jeff Irving for the lead vocalist spot. Then, around late March of 2014, still searching for the right drummer and bass player, they posted a want ad and were rewarded for their patience when a drummer, by the name of David Callari, contacted them and scheduled an audition. David seemed a natural fit for the vibe and culture of the band, and quickly settled into position within the group.
They also auditioned two bass players at this time, and finally decided upon Geoff Campbell, a talented bass player, who once again, fit in perfectly with the other four musicians.
So the line-up had solidified and now it was onto the arduous task of deciding on songs and rehearsing them. The band decided on a varied set-list that includes music by Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. They also have added some other groups, that may not have been considered directly linked with the music of those aforementioned, but were nonetheless part of that era, and had similar music styling such as Screaming Trees, Foo Fighters, Mad Season, and Temple of the Dog. And they add more songs every show!
Please check out the bands individual bios for more info on each member of the group website, and remember to use the social media sources available to stay up to date with new events and happenings, as well as sharing with others!
