We've booked Smokey several times now for personal events and he always adds a wonderful atmosphere to the party. A great musician and really knows how to work a crowd with his music!

Smokey performed at our Oktoberfest celebration at Sunnycrest Senior Living on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 for our residents, friends and family members and he was absolutely fabulous! He came dressed in theme and was so friendly, funny, fun and he's so talented! Several people said it was the best event we've ever had! We will definitely hire him again in the future! He's a fantastic entertainer!

Smokey Miles’ exceptional musical skills were displayed at our block party. His music selection featured popular songs and folksongs, standards that added to the festive setting of our suburban street party. He possesses a distinctive voice and a style that must stem from some hereditary connection back to ancient balladry. It lured me into such a sense of contentment and joy that I was soon humming along those classic melodies. Graciously, he allowed me to sing harmony with him on some old songs from the past; old songs by Cash, Dylan and The Band that resurrected memories and brought pleasure and comfort. That provided an unforgettable experience! Smokey’s performance christened our communal event and was a gift for many days after. Thank-you, Maestro Miles!

Asking Smokey to play at our block party was one of the best decisions we made. He fit right into our culture, enjoyed everything with us, was high spirited and super talented! His range of repertoire is huge and he has a fabulous voice. As a matter fact, one of our residents very much enjoyed joining him in several numbers. In addition to all of that, he's an interesting, educated and charming man, whom we would've enjoyed as a guest whether he played music or not!

I hired Smokey Miles to perform at my families home in Fallbrook, CA for my grandmother's 87th birthday on Sunday 11/6/16, and we were absolutely blown away. Smokey Miles is punctual, kind, warm, talented, intriguing, clean-cut, sharp, exciting, engaging, and incredible at what he does! He came prepared and did not waste any time. He introduced himself to my family, bring giant, genuine smiles to everyone's face, and began playing his sweet tunes. Smokey replied to my gigsalad request instantly, and I greatly appreciated that! I asked if he could perform specific Italian classics that my grandmother would love, and he said he would happily learn them...which he did! He simply blew us away with his performance. Ironically, he ended up being born in the same city in New York my father was born in, so that made for great conversation! He was just so easy to be around and talk to. Smokey Miles is effortlessly amazing, and I highly recommend him to everyone. He happily traveled four hours to perform for my family in Fallbrook, and I could not be more grateful for him. We are already planning on hiring him for another upcoming event in January...I hope he is available! Personable, appropriate, friendly and talented All we could ever hope for!

After our memorial service, our 70 or 80 attendees moved to a restaurant to celebrate my fathers life. (And eat.) Smokey was there, already set up with his guitar and playing background welcome music. We'd given Smokey songs we'd like to hear, and at the right time Smokey delivered. Some of the songs had customized lyrics which Smokey sang and played without hesitation. We needed to make the occasional announcement and Smokey's setup was perfect for us.
Our restaurant had tricky acoustics and Smokey did a great job being background music and foreground music at the right time. People also got a kick at hearing him on the accordion playing the Rolling Stones!
Fun times and a perfect ambience for our event. My dad would have been up there playing alongside! Thanks, Smokey. We hired Smokey for my Mom's 80th birthday party with a theme of An Afternoon in Paris. Smokey was wonderful. He was great to work with and helped us keep everything a secret, plus he played exactly what we asked him to. Everyone had great fun and the music by Smokey was the "Piece de resistance!"

At our event, we were looking to create a whimsical atmosphere with a Parisian touch. Smokey provided the perfect atmosphere! He was prompt in communication, punctual, and a pleasure to work with.

We booked Smokey for a corporate event last week. He was on time, reliable and most of all played great music with his guitar and harmonica. He truly is a talented singer/musician and we can only recommend him as an addition to any event.

Even better than I anticipated, he played a nice array of music through the whole party and did his best to accommodate requests.

He is a charming individual with a warm smile that makes you feel good inside. His performance is soulful and you can feel how much he enjoys performing. I would definitely contact him again if I needed a soloist.

Smokey is a very talented musician. I had him play the accordion for a film score I had written. He was excellent at playing the music as written, taking direction and also improvising some really great stuff for me. His musicianship really brought my music to a whole new level! Smokey played the accordian and guitar at my friends wedding last weekend and what a great evening. I found Smokey on GIgSalad and passed the information to my friend Marty for her wedidng on the beach in Oxnard. Smokey was hired for the event. He was on time and provided wonderful music during the cocktail party playing the accordian. He switched to his guitar at the reception and did a great job. He had us all dancing in the aisle. Last Sunday our church celebrated its 60th anniversary and we decided to have an Octoberfest. We contacted Smokey and he agreed to entertain for us. He checked in with me several times in the week preceeding the event, arrived early, set up and was ready to go when we were. Not only did he play German music but also music from the 40s-60s. He engaged the young children playing for them as they sang solos. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for some good old fashioned or ethnic music.

I gave Smokey a list of songs I requested. He has a great repertoire and delivered what I asked.

Smokey and I collaborated on the feature documentary MAGIC(S) where he created the music. The film went on to win 5 "Bests" from around the world including "Best Soundtrack" from the LA Indies. The recording process was inspiring and a whole lot of fun. We continue to work together on all sorts of productions that range from the smaller personal films to those with a much broader audience appeal. I expect many more to come. Thanks Smokey!

For my wife's 30th birthday she wanted an Italian theme, so I hired Smokey for some Italian classics on the accordian. He arrived early and ready to entertain. He also brought his guitar for a little extra fun toward the end of the evening. There wasn't a dance floor, but he got people moving. Extremely friendly and up for anything. Our guests loved him as I was constantly told "He's great!" or "This guy's good!" I'm so glad I found him for our party and absolutely recommend him for yours.

We hired Smokey to play at my sister's 60th birthday. Since she played the accordion as a child, she was totally surprised! The music choices were excellent for a luncheon, Smokey was very friendly, showed up early and very accommodating to our group. I was very impressed with his responsiveness to emails and telephone messages. I would definitely recommend Smokey to anyone seeking a solo musician.
