My Name Is Jonathan Gardner. I go by the Name SMOOTH. Im From Savannah, Georgia I got the name SMOOTH from another Rapper named OG, CEO of NiteRidaz Productions. The name pretty much just stuck with me. I do music for the love. I write for the Love. My music is about my life, the things ive been thru, and the things ive seen.

I grew up on the Southside of Savannah. Georgetown was the name of the Whole Neighborhood, and Village Green was the name of My neighborhood. My Dad worked at Gulfstream Aerospace my whole life. My Mom is a Teacher. She taught at Georgetown Elementary, where I went to School, and Is currently teaching at Goole Elementary. My sister Attends Savannah State University. I went to Southwest Middle School and Windsor Forest High School. I Graduated on the spring of 2007. I attended both Armstrong Atlantic State University and Savannah State University.

I Started rapping when I was 14. My friends Mark (k9) and John(JJ) approached me about being in a group, Fresh2Def. That group also included my Friend Roger. The first song I ever recorded was a song called Oh God. I got my name that day when we did that song. Og said that my Rap style was SMOOTH. So it just stuck with me throughout the years. Later on in life, I was in a Group called Do4self, including members Wayne (Tyson), Tony (Sir), Barry (B), and Jared (J-Red). All of us in that group pretty much went our own separate ways due to our shortcomings as a group, but still remain friends.

I have my own studio set-up in my house. I am learning more and more every day about mixing and mastering, Promotion, and Communication. I am developing myself into a type of artist the next guy can look at and say "He did it RIGHT". I want to Continue to be Independent, Unless a Major comes through.

I started making my own music this year, 2012. My first solo song was my First single Presidential. I am currently working on an EP Entitled "Memoirs Of A Sinner". It will feature Producers from Vybe, Johnny Juliano, IzzyTheKid, and Koncept Beatz.
