SoCal Outdoor Movies

This was the best experience. Richard was on time and had us set up in a hurry. System was simple to operate and take down was quick too. I would highly recommend SoCal Outdoor Movies.

Great idea did covid party! Richard was great, screen quality excellent along with sound.

Very good. The sound quality was outstanding as was the picture. Richard arrived with everything and showed me how to operate, although it was simple.

I highly recommend them for your backyard movie experience.

This company was beyond accommodating! I would definitely recommend! We changed the time several times and added an extra rental the day before, Rich made it happen!

Great Job

We have used other companies previously and we were sorely disappointed with our movie experience by comparison.

- The sound was extremely poor. At first the sound was tinny and painfully clinky in the front but not near loud enough in the back.
-I was led to believe that I was buying an outdoor movie experience for 1000+ people but they only brought 3 low quality speakers. The company tried to pass the blame on the power supplies but other companies have been further from the power source with much better sound.
- The movie started an hour late because their DVD player was broken and they didnt have a back up, many families had to leave mid-movie or before the movie started because it was past their bedtimes
(It was an elementary school event playing a kid movie)
- Why didn't he test the DVD when he got there? We weren't aware of the issue with the broken DVD until after the movie was supposed to start.
- Previous movie companies brought several ways to a play video, they made sure no one sat too close to the front projector and speakers. They tested the movie right away leaving time to fix any glitches. Their sound was much better and their screen and power cords were stretched much further than tonight.
- Previous movie companies brought a microphone to connect to speakers to make announcements, which I assumed was included. We weren't able to let crowd know when movie was about to start and give them safety directions (like not running over cables)  or not running in front of projector.
- Crowd was too close to projector and left no room for a walkway leading people to trip on power chords and walk in front of the projector creating a shadow.
-I provided 3 extension chords with 3 separate power supplies. I was never told the distance of the cords would be a huge issue prior to the night of. They were not that far.
- movie was bleeding off screen
- the company needs to communicate better with host on what is expected.

Sound quality was very poor, but great customer service.

We decided to have a backyard movie for our daughter's sixteenth birthday. We used the smallest inflatable screen they have available. Because of when the party started, there were already teenagers in our backyard when the person came to setup. He was able to get the screen inflated, and set up the AV system without disturbing the party at all. He showed me how to use the equipment, made sure I was comfortable with it, and then left.

We played a Bluray disc, and both the sound and the picture were fabulous. (You need to supply your own movie. I am not an attorney, but my understanding is this is due to copyright laws) The person texted me when he was on his way back. He was right on time, and broke down the system quickly, again without disturbing the party.

SoCal Outdoor Movie's quote for the event was significantly lower than other companies and they did a terrific job for us. I would use them again, and have already recommended them.
