Soccer Collies

There is no spectating allowed, it's participation only. :) Every spectator becomes a participant in our Dog Soccer Game. Participants all work together to stop a little dog from scoring goals but the dogs always do score goals and they always win. The participants play as a team of goalkeepers as they try to stop the dogs from scoring and they score by heading the ball to the ground before the dogs touch it.

The participants form a circle around a very soft ball and the highly skilled Soccer Collies. When the dogs push the ball out of the circle, then the dogs have scored a goal.

The dogs score a lot of goals. It's fun to watch and play.

What could be better for a children's birthday party or your special event than a professional team of Soccer Dogs called the Soccer Collies showing up to take on everyone at the party?

Participants form a circle surrounding the highly skilled Soccer Collies and a very soft-ball. When the dogs push the ball out of the circle the dogs have scored a goal. The dogs score a lot of goals which brings a lot of smiles and laughter.

Participants score by "heading" the ball to the ground before the dogs touch it making Dog Soccer Games a very competitive team-building sport because the dogs always win. It's a Humans vs Canines competition but everyone wins as the human/canine bond blossoms through shared joy.

We don't need a large field. Our Dog Soccer Field is formed using a 100 foot rope which forms about a 30 foot diameter circle or we can bring a 12 x 12 carpet and play on pavement or indoors.

It's a lot of fun and the dogs are very photogenic which will make great memories for your special day.

The Soccer Dog Adoption Program

Our mission is to connect the soccer world with the dog rescue world through a Soccer Dog Adoption Program which focuses on the high maintenance high ball drive dogs which are often difficult to adopt. When these high energy, high ball drive dogs discover soccer they become every child's dream dog. They are rare and they are valuable. There's a huge demand for soccer dogs and no supply until now through our mission.

For playing on pavement or slippery floors we provide a 12 x 12 carpet for the dogs and we also recommend a 24-foot circular carpet which fits great in the center of an intersection and a sponsor's name/logo can be spray painted on the carpet as all eyes are on the field when the dogs are playing.

Groups of kids ages 2 to 92 play as a team of goalkeepers as an incredibly talented soccer dog scores goals. A lot of goals! It's a competition of speed and agility as the dogs quickly show their human competitors who has faster feet. The action is fast and FURious !! Everyone wears a smile at Dog Soccer Games and there's a lot of laughter, especially when adults play against the dogs. This is a serious new sport challenging enough for professional players, yet safe for toddlers. It's not just for kids, but dogs & kids and soccer is a magical combination. It's very fun, especially for four to twelve-year-old children.

County Fair, San Diego Fair, San Diego Sockers, SoccerNation Expo, American Cancer Society, Humane Society, SPCA, Chick-fil-A, 100 Mile Club, Shriners, Special Olympics, Peppermint Ridge, celebrities, schools, churches, festivals, carnivals, private parties, corporate parties, High School, College & Professional Soccer Half Time Shows and more.

Purina created one of our videos on June 11, 2010, when the San Diego Sockers and the Soccer Collies made an appearance at the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge in San Diego.

This is a new sport and a new soccer dog movement is underway because many ball motivated dogs will play soccer. The Soccer Dog movement is rescuing hard to adopt high energy, high maintenance ball motivated dogs.

We are interested in collaborating with dog rescue organizations, foster families and ball motivated dogs that are available for adoption and/or for performing at public events. Soccer Collies and all Soccer Dogs collaborate to bring a very fun and funny game to public, private, and corporate events with a life-saving message of training ball motivated rescue dogs to play soccer. Sadly, millions of dogs lose their lives because of overpopulation.

Throw away the tennis balls and all small balls if you want a soccer dog.

Dog Soccer works best on a level field. We provide carpet for playing on pavement or slippery floors. Low trimmed grass in a shady area works best outside. Large events will need to provide power for our P.A. System or we could use the event sound system. Brief games in front of the stage work great between stage performers.
