Soul Salvage Project has a divine ability to meet people right where they are no matter their taste in music or their life struggles. Angela Wolf's gutsy vocals and SSP's unforgettable sound cut through the wasteland of stereotypical bar bands and Contemporary Christian bands blazing a new trail. With her deep soulful voice, Angela weaves stories that are saturated with “Truth” and emotion. She is an outstanding songwriter and performer who knows how to tackle difficult subjects as only one with first-hand experience can effectively do.
SSP’s Sound is forged with the rustic sounds of old Delta Blues and Americana. Angela has performed for ten years with her Deep South powerhouse band, Soul Salvage Project. With the release of the band's EP in the spring of 2017 the band was not only playing in clubs, at festivals, and in churches, but even more exciting, they were touring prisons in Louisiana. This new venue for the band was no stranger for Angela Wolf as she has been a speaker and singer in Federal and State Prisons all over the country with Bill Glass Behind the Walls (Dallas, TX), Fly Right, Inc. (Alabama), and The Winning Edge (Beaumont, TX) for years.
The most remarkable quality of Soul Salvage Project band is their relentless representation of the world we live in. The portraits that they paint are "spot on" with the heartbreak, suffering, and the redemption that we all seek. Their music is pure, bold, and direct from the southern Louisiana swamplands and the famous New Orleans area to the Chicagoland area.
Soul Salvage Project's Founder, songwriter, and lead vocalist, Angela Wolf, came from a background of 1980s Rock and Heavy Metal. Originally from Southside Virginia, she has lived and performed in Greensboro, N.C., Atlanta, G.A., Dallas, TX, and Cape Coral, FL. In the Fall of 2017, she relocated to Wind Point, WI on the banks of Lake Michigan. She immediately began auditioning band members and is building a northern version of her cherished group. She is an avid biker [Christian Motorcyclist's Association (C.M.A.)] and feels completely at home in the company of the biker culture.
Moving frequently around the U.S., in 2008, Angela and her family made the moved from Cape Coral, FL to Southern Louisiana beginning a new chapter in her musical career. Soul Salvage Project was birthed in Hammond, LA out a calling from God that pressed Angela to return to her musical roots after a long sabbatical. This mission became clearer as she selected incredibly talented musicians who shared her love for Christ. That mission was to reach the broken and outcast with the Good News (the love, forgiveness, and salvation of Jesus Christ). Because of her first-hand experience with drugs, alcohol, and abusive relationships, Angela was a perfect match for such a credible and important mission.
Angela is a Platform Guest (Singer & Speaker) for Bill Glass Behind the Walls Prison Ministry (Dallas, TX), Fly Right Inc. (based in Alabama), The Winning Edge (Beaumont, TX) and others. She formerly led in the Celebrate Recovery Program and worked as a Homeless Shelter volunteer for several years. She led a team in the Youth Detention Center Ministry for eight years representing her home church, Woodland Park Baptist of Hammond. Angela is married to Michael, a corporate aviation pilot and she is the mother of two boys, a 21 year old Air Force Officer and an 18 year old high school senior and soon to be Army Cav Scout. Both of her boys have participated in her ministry over the years.

Influenced by Etta James, Janis Joplin, BB King, and many male vocalists. Angela did not grow up singing typical female recorded songs. She was drawn to the male artists due to her deep alto voice. In prisons, her music ranges from Desperado (The Eagles), to Motown classics like Ain't No Sunshine, Signed Sealed Delivered, and Stand by Me, to the ripping vocals of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith in Dream On. One of her favorites in every venue is House of the Rising Sun.
Soul Salvage Project, the band, is unique in that they do original songs (written by Angela) mixed with and Classic Blues, Americana, and Roots Rock cover tunes. Angela has a dramatic testimony that was featured in a (phone number hidden) Club interview segment. She has done radio and podcast interviews for local Christian radio stations. Angela is a CMA (Christian Motorcyclist's Association) member and avid biker. She has led and participated in ministries in VA, GA, FL, MS, TN, AL, IN, OH, KY, CA, WI, IL, TX, and LA. She is a platform artist for Bill Glass Prison Ministries (headquartered in Dallas, TX) and several other National and regional prison ministries, was a Celebrate Recovery leader, had a homeless shelter ministry, was a youth detention ministry leader (8 years), a praise team leader, an a youth band leader at Woodland Park Baptist Church.
