I will sing the requested songs, and give the crowd a show. I will provide the room with positive and professional style performance. I only ask for a 15 minute intermission for every 2 songs that are requested. You can expect quality and professionalism. I keep a smile on my face and aim to please!

Kenyatta is a soul singer, who can easily fuse will all styles of music, but is a powerhouse when it comes to rythm and blues. It was discovered that Kenyatta could sing at age 4. Kenyatta spent her early childhood in Queens, New York and practiced her skills by singing in choirs and talent shows. Singing Superwoman by Karen White and songs by Anita Baker and Mary J. Blidge gave her listeners the feeling that she had been here before. It was clear she was on the path to stardom until her mother relocated back to Mobile, Alabama. Spending the rest of her adolescence life in Alabama, over the next 7 years Kenyatta sang in choirs, talent shows, started writing music and putting on small productions. At 19 she joined the United States Navy and continued to sing, this time for military functions as well as all around the world. Music took a backseat as Kenyatta married and had children, but now Kenyatta has taken all her training and experiences and is reopening the chapter of music in her life to spread love through her music. Kenyatta's major musical influences are Anita Baker, Mary J. Blidge, Nina Simone, Brandy, Beyonce, Monica, Mya, Janet Jackson, Micheal Jackson, Jill Scott, Eric Clapton. She is influenced and There is no box to put Kenyatta in, but if Lauryn Hill had a baby with Beyonce, she would probably look like Kenyatta.

I sing with backing tracks, if a live band is requested, I have associates that can provide the band. All I require is a mic and a system to play the backing tracks. Lighting, staging will have to be done on your end, prior to performance. I will also do a sound check before the performance.
