Sound Check is a high-quality, competition-level barbershop quartet with decades of combined experience. We are all proud members of the Barbershop Harmony Society and the Saltaires barbershop chorus based in Salt Lake City. We love performing and have fun doing it! Whether singing for private parties, corporate events, community concert series', or as guests on a show, we are grateful for and humbled by the wonderful reviews our audiences give us. Sound Check Quartet sang for The Woman's Board of Westminster University's Holiday Luncheon and knocked it out of the park! They arrived early and were very flexible while we waited for our luncheon to wind down. Their performance was energetic and fun as they harmonized Christmas songs and other barbershop numbers. Our fun favorite was "Mr. Grinch" which had the 100+ guest laughing and clapping. They ended thier performance with Old Enzine and a few tears appeared in the crowd. Sound Check Quartet allowed us all to kick off the Holiday Season in perfect style! We would definately recommend them and hire them again!

We hired Sound Check Quartet for our company Christmas party. Prior to the event, I was able to talk with Mark about logistics, he was very accommodating and personable.
They arrived on the evening of the party early and were very professional. They really sounded great. We loved the music they chose, everyone enjoyed their performance.
We highly recommend them!
This event was a surprise for my wife (6 month wedding anniversary). She was very surprised and very pleased.

I needed a Barbershop Quartet for a surprise party for a friend, and they were able to perform at it perfectly! They even needed to change some lyrics of a song minutes before the event, and they performed it with the changes flawlessly! They’re true professionals!

This quartet was the icing on our 99th birthday celebration’s cake. They chose a mixture of genres for their set, all done in the barbershop style. They were friendly, funny, and most importantly very good! We hope to have a 100th next year so they can come back!

They sang at our ice cream social and everybody loved them. They are so talented and so great to work with. They were even willing to wear the silly barbershop straw hats I got them because the event had a slight turn-of-the-century theme. They were awesome! I would definitely book them again.

The weather was perfect, the Choral Arts Society of Utah and 23rd Army Band were perfect, and Sound Check Quartet was the icing on a perfect concert honoring our men and women in uniform. I highly recommend this group for any high quality event.

Barbershop harmony is four-part, a cappella singing, with a unique and captivating sound. Songs range from intense ballads to driving up tunes. Many songs come form the "Great American Songbook" - classics made famous over the decades. Other songs are simply songs with a great sound! Our audiences are always thrilled when they hear us sing, and we are grateful for their exuberant feedback!
Sound Check, comprised of Jimmy (tenor), Mark (lead), Blair (baritone), and Brian (bass), is a barbershop quartet based in Salt Lake City. We have all been singing barbershop for at least a decade, some of us for a few decades! We bring a wealth of experience, fun, and enthusiasm for barbershop singing! We actively sing in the Saltaires barbershop chorus, also based in Salt Lake City, and both perform and compete as a quartet and with the chorus. We would love to share our music with you!

Our set list includes a mix of ballads, rousing up tunes, spirituals, and popular music through the decades, all set to the barbershop style.
The larger the venue, the more likely w'ell want either two cross-over mics on one mic stand or two mic stands with their own mic. And, of course, speaker. Smaller venues don't require amplification.
