These veterans of the Vancouver music scene guarantee a non-stop party on the dance floor that will leave you asking for more. Get ready to move and groove to the infectious beats of Sound Machine!
I recently hired Sound Machine to play at a private party, and they exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we made contact, Henry was professional and reliable, making the entire process seamless and stress-free.
On the day of the event, the band arrived punctually, ready to set up and ensure everything was perfect. Their energy was infectious, and they had a great crowd on their feet dancing all night long. The setlist was absolutely amazing, featuring a fantastic mix of classics and current hits that appealed to everyone.
What truly stood out was how accommodating they were. They took the time to understand our preferences and even accepted song requests, making the night feel personal and special.
If you're looking for a band that will bring your event to life with their incredible music and unmatched energy and professionalism, look no further. I cannot recommend Sound Machine highly enough!
Response from Sound Machine:
Wow, your review exceeded our expectations! It was our honor to be part of your celebration. This is the reason why we love performing! Thank you so much Marina.
We saw them at the Admiral Pub last year - they were amazing! We missed them at the Hard Rock Casino a few months ago, but heard they had the place on their feet. They play songs that everyone knows which is why the floor is packed - always a good time when Sound Machine on stage!
Sound Machine was part of the Ioco Festival, event which I was responsible for. They were fantastic since the first phone contact, and during the event they were professional, easygoing and amazing.
The music is great, the performance brilliant, there is nothing negative to say about them.
Thank you, Matt and all band for the perfect partnership!

We are a professional band that gives 200% to every performance engagement. We promise to:
- communicate with you clearly from initial introduction to tear-down after the performance;
- fully set up and sound check at least 30 minutes before your event starts;
- dress appropriately for your event;
- play songs appropriate for your event at a reasonable volume; and
- always be professional in our interactions with you, your guests, and your venue staff.
No worries; whether it be a fancy wedding, corporate event, or rock festival, we'll tailor our sound and songs to match the vibe of the event. Everything we play is extremely danceable and designed to get people moving. Applause and encores are the norm at our shows, so come fully prepared to dance until your partner drags you off the floor.
Our sound is organic and doesn't rely on pre-recorded backing tracks to supplement the music with phantom vocals or instruments; what you see is exactly what you'll hear. As we are a live act, all our videos are 100% unedited to give a true representation of what you'll experience at one of our shows.
Sound Machine is a 2022 offshoot of an established and popular Vancouver cover band with veteran musicians who have played hundreds of shows over the last 20 years at:
• Casinos (Great Canadian/Hard Rock, River Rock, Elements, Cascades, Chances);
• Corporate events (BC Lions, Save-On-Foods, Seaspan, Cisco Systems, Honda, Canada Post, Vancouver Golf Club, NDP party);
• Festivals (2010 Olympics, World Partnership Walk, Richmond Canada Day, Greek Summerfest, Burnaby Hats Off Day, Langley Good Times Cruise-In, Ladner May Days, Pitt Meadows Day, Kerrisdale Day, Cambie Day); and
• Clubs (Dublin Crossing, Donegal's, Newlands, Admiral, Highwayman, Two Lions, many more) and other celebratory private events
Jessica is the powerhouse front-woman that entertains as smoothly as she sings. Don't let appearances fool you; while she looks like the girl-next-door, she's a rocker at heart and can belt it out with the best of them.
Henry is the quiet guitarist that loves to add a rock touch to pop songs. Truth be known, he loves ABBA, but has given up on trying to get the rest of the band to play "Does Your Mother Know".
Paul on bass and Matt on drums make up the rock-steady rhythm section that compels even the rhythm-less to move. As they say, "it's all about the bass"...but a good 4/4 drum beat doesn't hurt either.
Hiring a live band is an investment in the success of your event and we thank you for considering Sound Machine. We are a "turn-key" musical act; just call us and we'll do the rest to get your guests partying.
For most smaller events, we'll be bringing our musical equipment, PA equipment (speakers, subwoofers, audio mixers), lighting and peripherals. Where you have sound technical support, we'll work directly with your sound engineers to deliver the best sound possible.
We can also make arrangements to have pre-recorded music playing before our performance and between breaks, with or without a DJ.
Let us know your needs and we’ll provide a quote for your specific event. Here's a few questions we'll need answers to when we talk:
1) What's the location, date, timing of event, and start time of the band performance?
2) How many people will be at the event?
3) How long do you want us to perform?
4) What is the demographic makeup of your guests?
5) Will there be any sound support provided for your event?
6) How much "wow" do you want for the band performance?
We are adding songs on a constant basis. Here's a sample of what you might hear from us at a typical show...all done dance-rock style, of course:
