Virtual Visit
After your initial sign-up, you will be sent a questionnaire via your email to fill out. This questionnaire tells Santa who will be on the video call where he can call them by name and provide the information needed to make this video visit special and just for you and your family. Every call is unique, you can either surprise someone OR let them know that Santa will be calling. Or you could set it up as a “surprise call” to the North Pole, so that even Santa is surprised! (Santa can work with you on setting that up). Santa can mention how good they have been doing in various subjects (school, sports, other activities), Santa can also mention anything the parents might want Santa to talk to the children about such as picking up their rooms, arguing with siblings, etc. If there is a Elf on the Shelf Santa needs to know the name of the Elf. Of course, Santa will talk about things happening at the North Pole, and of course, any presents they might be interested in.
Video calls via Zoom are a minimum 5 minutes long but not over 10 minutes. On average they are 7-to-8-minute calls. At the end of the video call or when the call starts to lag something will happen in the workshop and Santa will ask permission to take care of the issue. After the call you will receive a link where you can watch the call and download it to your computer to watch as many times as you wish. For security reasons and for the safety of his clients all calls are erased from the North Pole data banks after 3 days (72 hours).
When Santa sends you the detailed questionnaire, your reply is due within three days. An invoice will be sent from PayPal or you can pay by credit card. Payment is required in advance to book and hold the time of your virtual visit.
Corporate or Group (Schools, Scouts, Clubs, etc.) Virtual Visit
Do you want to surprise your corporate holiday All-Hands Meeting with a drop-in visit from Santa? Do you have a special holiday Zoom party that could use an extra special guest from the North Pole? Do you have a class of students who would like a visit from Old Saint Nick? Do you have a family get-together online where Santa could bring some cheer? Santa can make this happen, he or one of his elves will speak with you personally on the phone to design the custom corporate or large group virtual visit. (Corporate or Large Group rates are dependent on the nature of the event.)
Home Visits
Having Santa come to your home is a wondrous thing for young and old alike. Here are some quick tips to making this the very best party or visit possible.
1. Make certain Santa has an assigned contact who will have their phone on (and charged), just in case. This contact person should check their phone regularly.
2. If there are any pets who might be over-excited by a big guy in a fur-trimmed suit that is loud and excited it might be best for them to relax elsewhere, in a closed room.
3. You will want to have all your cameras and devices ready and charged.
4. Where should Santa sit for photos? Well, Santa’s suit is pretty warm, so not too close to fireplaces. It is also helpful to seat Santa away from large reflective surfaces (like mirrors and glass doors). We don’t want flash bounce to ruin your pictures.
5. Santa will probably need a helper or two. Santa True will send you information on just how those assistants can help out.
6. Any finances are best dealt with beforehand and “off stage.” But if there is any balance or payment due, the best way to handle this is to put the money into a Christmas Card and hand it to Santa, as he is leaving.
7. Coordination is important. It could be awkward for Santa to show up in the middle of a meal or when someone has just run to the store for some more eggnog. Please have someone who will bring everyone together, to be ready when Santa shows up.
8. In many people’s minds, Santa usually comes down the chimney. But if he’s arriving by car, you need to have a specially reserved parking spot for him. An easy way to do this is to have one of the cars in the driveway pulled all the way back (closest to the street). When Santa arrives, the Helper pulls this car forward and Santa pulls in behind him. Make certain Santa has all the security information, if you live in a gated community.
9. Speaking of cars and reindeer, it’s not unusual for children to want to follow Santa out. Be ready to have a distraction to pull the kids away, after you hear him call out, “Happy Christmas to All, and to All a Good Night!”
10. Seating is important. A sturdy, straight back, dining room chair will often do fine. You can decorate around it and even put it next to your Christmas Tree. But people will need to have easy access around it. And we don’t want any gifts to be trampled.
11. If there are any people with Special Needs, make certain Santa knows. If someone is in a wheel chair or bedridden, Santa can easily go to them. Or he may need help if the person uses ASL, etc. When children are present, there must be an adult serving as the child wrangler remaining with Santa at all times.
12. If Santa is handing out gifts for you, put them in a heavy-duty plastic trash bag. Santa Jim will transfer them into his own bag. Write the names in bold ink, on the wrapping paper itself. Tags fall off all the time. Santa will ask the helpers to help him hand out the presents, and to help pronounce the names if needed. If there are a lot of gifts, Santa may recruit some elves to bring them in. Please let Santa know if there are any special issues before he offers to hand out candy canes.

Santa Jim loves meeting people and making new friends, big or small, Granny or baby, or even that 300 pound biker. I am great at helping make your photos tell your Christmas story. I will give up my chair for a scared child or for the lady of the house. If necessary, I will just peek around the tree or around a door if that is needed to get that special Christmas picture. I do not believe in freighting children, Santa and Christmas should be the most magical time of the year for children. I have even “Dabbed” and “Flossed” off with many children. I have done Karate poses with that tough teen. But there are some pictures I refuse to do such as “Sexy Santa” or “Bad Santa.”
I love to tell children about life at the North Pole and use a combination of scientific and historical facts to make the “Make Believe” more believable. I enjoy getting in the floor and playing with the children. One of the best complements I have ever received was when a mom told me, “You act like a 6-year-old.” I told her thank you because the mean age of my clients is 6 years old.
I do original story telling from stories that are written just for me by Mrs. Claus. My favorite story to tell is the real Christmas Story as found in the Bible. I end each visit with the line, “Please remember the real gift of Christmas was found in a manger, not under a tree.”
I will work with you, my clients to head off potential issues and suggest ways to have even MORE fun. I also have a wide collection of contacts for things like Mrs. Claus, Reindeer, Elves, Photographers, and more if you need one. I have check-list handouts, on how to prepare for a Santa Visit, photos, and suggestions you can use to help you and every child of every age get the most from “A Visit with Santa Claus.”
About Me
I have over 50 years as a professional Santa Claus, bringing this beloved character to life is what I love doing. I began in 1970 when my junior high football coach asks if I would be Santa for our local town parade because the one, they had hired caught the flu. At first, I said no, but after he offered me $10 I was in. Soon other groups began calling and I started doing Santa every year throughout High School. Later I did Santa for our troops in Vietnam and later to bring American Christmas traditions to Bagdad. My impersonation of Santa Claus has grown as I have aged and learned.
I provide a premium personalized first person experience that I feel is superior to many others. Years of training give me a depth and skill of knowledge in history, answering those hard questions, giving the impression that you are indeed speaking with the Real Santa Claus.
I am a professional Christmas Performer! I have taken numerous acting classes and been to numerous schools to study the legends and truths about the real Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas) and the legend and traditions that has grown up around the Boy Bishop of Myra. I do ongoing research into the history of Christmas, St. Nicholas, and how he became Santa Claus. I am a member of the Order of Saint Nicholas. I attend the Saint Nicholas Institute every year to learn more and to study the life of this amazing man of God.
Saint Nicholas of Myra said “The giver of every good and perfect gift has called upon us to mimic God’s giving, by grace, through faith, and this is not of ourselves. The Christ gave all for all men, if we imitate the creator can we do less?”
By studying the lore, traditions, and customs of Christmas helps me bring my characterization of Santa Claus to life in a way that few can. I also believe strongly in the power of love, and the ideals of Christmas, Peace, Love, Generosity, Equality, Inspiration, Playfulness, and Caring. I believe that Christmas is for the kids in all of us and a way to show that Peace on Earth Good Will Toward Men is still the hope and prayer of us all.
Foot Note: Please I ask you, no matter which Santa you hire for your event make sure they are insured and have a national background check for your protection and safety.
Any booking over 100 miles is subject to a $50 fuel fee
