Our professional and animated entertainers specialize in storytelling, facepainting, and creating customized gifts from the sea. No pool? No problem! Our mermaids are available for dry events too!

Corabelle has always been a true mermaid at heart. Growing up the daughter of a Navy Sailor who worked on aircraft carriers, she’s lived in many places along the coastal United States. Never being too far from the ocean, her thirst for mer-knowledge as a young girl drove her to develop a life-long ambition to become a real mermaid.

Corabelle is the proud owner of Sparkling City Mermaids, the premier choice for mer-related entertainment in South Texas. She has a special place in her heart for entertaining people of all ages, but primarily focuses on delighting children. She loves to sing and play games with kids; educating little ones about the sea through fun is her forte.

When Corabelle isn’t swimming around as a mermaid, she spends time with her family and works as a freelance journalist. She writes articles that concentrate on the local community for the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. Corabelle is an accomplished writer and editor, and earned her degrees in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising from Del Mar College.

Corabelle strives for excellence in everything she does. Her hobbies include: traveling, crafting, singing, and volunteering.

For over a decade, she has called Corpus Christi her home, and is looking forward to meeting people who live in the Sparkling City by the Sea- and beyond!

The Corpus Christi Mermaid is First Aid and CPR Certified.
She is also licensed to work with children in the state of Texas.

Party Package Information

Who says mermaids aren’t real? We currently offer the best in high-quality mermaid entertainment in South Texas! We have 45 minute, 1 and 2 hour party packages. We are able to accept cash or checks made out to Sparkling City Mermaids. For our bookings, we have two types of packages you can book for your special event: wet and dry.

--DRY PACKAGES--

The Mermaid Meet & Greet

$100 for one professional mermaid performer to entertain party guests for 45 minutes. Guests can ask questions, and pose for fun photos, if it’s a birthday party, the mermaid will sing Happy Birthday to the guest of honor and then depart. Package includes a postcard with a personalized message for the birthday child.

The Mermaid Makeover

$200 for one professional mermaid performer and assistant to arrive with enough glitter, stickers, necklaces, hair extensions etc. to transform your little guppy and her friends into the cutest sparkling little mermaids you’ve ever seen! Package is one hour and includes printed group photo so you can save the memory, and a postcard with a personalized message for the birthday child.

The Mermaid Transformation

$350 for the chance to become a mermaid yourself for a special day, and have professional photos taken of you to mark the occasion! We style you, take care of your hair and makeup, and provide props and accessories. Please contact for sizing information/tail color request so we can find you the perfect set of fins that you can KEEP on flipping in, even after the shoot!

--WET PACKAGES--

The Splish-Splash

This fun-filled package is our most affordable. $200 for one aquatic performer to appear with assistant and will entertain with songs, bubble rings, bubble kisses, flips and more! Mermaid will swim with guests/pose for photos for one hour. Package includes a postcard with a personalized message for the birthday child.

The Big Wave

$300 for one mermaid performer will entertain/swim with guests/ pose for photos for 2 hours and will sing Happy Birthday/give the birthday child a custom-made gift from the sea during a special Coronation Ceremony. Package includes a postcard with a personalized message for the birthday child.

The Tidal Wave

If you'd like to take things to the next sea level, $450 will book 3 mermaid performers and their assistant to appear and entertain/swim with guests/pose for photos for two hours. This package not only comes with MORE mermaids, and the birthday song/coronation ceremony, it also comes with professional photo and video of the occasion. Package includes a postcard with a personalized message for the birthday child.

--IMPORTANT--

We bring our own setup. You like thingamabobs? We've got twenty.
All equipment is provided by Sparkling City Mermaids. Having a body of water at your event venue is not necessary for booking! BUT-- if you do book a pool party please keep these very important things in mind:

* Mermaid transition assistance! Please help us maintain the illusion! We kindly ask that a host be designated to assist our Surfer mertenders with keeping the mermaid magic alive. Our mermaids will need time, your patience, and a secure and private place to transform-- especially if you've booked an outdoor pool party, or a private home party.

* We are not lifeguards! The safety of your children and their guests is paramount! Please assist Sparkling City Mermaids with making sure all kids are properly supervised during your event.

* Maximum of 10 children per entertainer! Please understand that for the safety of our performers, we require an additional mermaid entertainer be booked for parties with 10 children or more for $100.
