Pam is a JOY! She is so welcoming, bubbly, high energy, caring and loving. She just exudes warmth and care. Pam is a very well spoken and confident speaker. She has great timing and delivers sincere stories with warm humor. She delivered a message of faith and friendship to a mixed audience of believers and non-believers and captured the hearts of everyone in attendance.

Pam is engaging as she communicates and inspires with a call to action. Her teaching is based on Scripture and leaves you wanting to be more and live up to God’s calling. I highly recommend her for speaking and engaging one-on-one with your women’s group.

As a speaker, I serve audiences as an inspirational speaker where I tell personal stories, present facts and data, motivate people to take action, and pray. I can speak for 20 minutes or serve as a weekend retreat speaker. During the week, I speak at business lunches, in-service meetings, and church events.
Event coordinators often hire me to work as a mediator for their multi-generational groups who want to bridge the gap between the generations. I have a list of questions I start with and help the group find common ground. It sounds serious but it's also a fun and eye-opening.
Pamela Havey Lau Was born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey as the oldest of three children. When Pam was very young her Jewish mother converted from Judaism to Christianity; soon after, her father turned to Christ as well. For almost 14 years, their young family flourished in the Presbyterian Church where Pam developed a love for Christ through Scripture. She spent the majority of her growing up years playing the piano, the flute, the bass guitar and singing in choirs. A tragic event tore her family apart and Pam lost the close relationship she shared with her mother, causing her to deeply struggle with her faith and her future. While Pam was in college working toward a Bachelor’s degree in English, The Hound of Heaven sought her through good books and poetry by C.S. Lewis, Soren Kierkegaard, and Evelyn Underhill. While traveling with a music group through Eastern Europe, Pam rededicated her life to Jesus Christ with two requests: 1) To remain single so she could travel the world as a journalist helping those who needed a voice and, 2) to not be involved with women’s ministry. God did not grant either request!
Instead, God brought the love of her life, Brad, to her at a church in Virginia. They have been married for almost 26 years. Pam was invited to speak at women’s events when she was 24-years-old. Reluctantly, she stood before the women, opened her Bible, her research and her mouth—instantly, God filled her with such compassion for the women that she knew He was with her.
Pam lives in Newberg, Oregon with her husband, Dr. Brad Lau, a college administrator. Together they have worked at Colorado State University, Sterling College, Lancaster Bible College, and George Fox University where Pam served as an English professor.
They have three teenage daughters. Michaela, 20, is a junior at Biola University studying human biology; Annalise, 18, will be studying at Azusa Pacific University, and Gabrielle, 18, is a senior in high school. As a family, they enjoy tennis, water sports, and worshiping at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church.
Pam is the founder of Real Life Real Image, LLC where she serves as a writer, editor, and speaker. Her past clients include non-profit organizations, agricultural businesses, CEOs, and other writers. She’s a frequent contributor to Christianity Today’s (link hidden)neutics and other publications.
Pam is the author of Soul Strength: Spiritual Courage for the Battles of Life (Random House, 2003) and has finished her second book on the spiritual growth of women in the next generation, A Friend in Me: How to Be a Safe Haven for Other Women (David C. Cook, 2015). Pam currently is a retreat and conference speaker for churches, schools and businesses. She previously was a language arts professor for seven years and most recently taught writing to middle school students. Pam holds an undergraduate degree from Liberty University and a Masters degree from Colorado State University.
I always use a behind the ear microphone.
I have my own equipment but love when the venue is set up to display my Power Point or Google slides
