Good speaker, well delivered. Gave a heartfelt message about real fears, needs as a patient, and
the important issues of support from both a clinical viewpoint as well as from family and friends.
I appreciate Ali sharing her experiences with us from her perspective. She was sincere and I
appreciated her format. I wish she was able to bring her ukulele. Next time!
I really enjoyed the personality she was able to convey and share. The message was well crafted
and individual. The message hit close to home. It was well worth the trip from Michigan for this
speech alone.
It is encouraging to be educated by someone who has been personally helped by the career that I
have chosen.
Loved looking at cancer from a different perspective! Such a positive outcome from such a
negative diagnosis. She is a very charismatic personality who has realized what so many of us
seek in our lives, focus on what really really matters and let go of the rest.
Ali is a shining star. She inspires all of us, not just cancer patients, to see the beauty in each day, enjoy the moment, and be fearless. How does one become brave in the face of cancer? How do we find the courage to build a fighting spirit in a world where external chatter and negativity try to convince us to be afraid, vulnerable, and out of control? Ali's humor and conviction that, together, we can conquer just about anything, will leave you feeling empowered, joyful, and ready to take on any battle with which you may be struggling. Ali is a living, thriving example of what she preaches. She has turned her experience with Stage IV cancer into a guidebook on how to live each precious moment of life with gusto and laughter. Her Zorba energy is delightfully contagious.

ALI'S SPEAKING TOPICS
"The C Card and Me – How I beat stage IV cancer, again and again."
Ali shares her experience of being diagnosed with late stage colon cancer and the extraordinary steps that followed, sharing excerpts and anecdotes from her cancer survival guide along with the hope and signs that the world is genuinely making progress in the battle against cancer.
"Never Say Never – The mid lifer’s guide to setting your dreams back in motion."
Ali knows how difficult it can be to change your life mid stream. She was 40 years old when she picked up a guitar and started taking lessons, her attempt at righting a wrong turn she took in her early 20’s to stop singing and “get serious” about a career. She also left the comfort of a stable career as an IT Director to pursue more creative endeavors. In this talk Ali lightly touches on the catastrophic event that was the catalyst for her life change and focuses on how to get past the broken record in our heads that prevents us from pursuing the lives we've imagined for ourselves.
"In the summer of 2010 I was working my 15th year in technology, feeling burnt out and pretty middle aged.
If you’d told me then that in the few years to follow I would; face and survive stage IV colon cancer (4 times), publish 2 books that make people less afraid of and better prepared to face cancer, become a sports photographer with a highlight of photographing soccer greats like Ronaldo, Donovan, Keene and David Beckham, record a full length CD of my original, Americana songs, jump out an airplane, swim in the Mediterranean, walk along the Cliffs of Moher and be the subject of an Emmy nominated film (My Human Case: Cancer) and developed a film series that inspires others to lead more daring lives, I would’ve thought you were some kind of twisted Tony Robbins wannabe, but this has been my life to date and it just keeps getting better." — Ali Gilmore
Ali travels internationally to offer a unique combination of motivational speech and song to eager audiences, spreading the message of hope for the future of cancer survival and the reigniting of our one’s near forgotten dreams.
Ali is not only a living, breathing testament to the advances in modern medicine and cancer treatments, but a triumphant example that it is never too late to take one’s dream from the shelf, dust it off and set it back in motion.
Ali has no specific needs other than the typical for the set venue. She will offer provide her own vocal microphone for performances.
Ali generally performs two of her original songs in the closing of her speaking engagement. The songs of course, depend on the audience and theme and can be pre-screened by the client. All songs designed to uplift and inspire.
Ali admires anyone who rises above their circumstances. Current influences are: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Singer Sam Smith, Actor/Comedian Ricky Gervais, all wounded warriors, cancer survivors and so many more...
