A big fan of the 50's - 60's and 70's era, Countz was influenced by folk musicians like Bob Dylan, soul songwriters like Sam Cooke and American bands like The Eagles, country pop soloists like John Denver, James Taylor, Jackson Browne and the three party harmonies of Peter, Paul and Mary and The Mamas and the Pappas. Early Contemporary Christian artists like Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, Daniel Amos and Barry McGuire were also major influences. Ed Sheeran has been a more contemporary influence as has some of the Country-Pop crossover sounds of Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Old Dominion and Thomas Rhett.
